Betty Morris Tatum, of Evergreen passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, at her residence. She was 85. Graveside services will be held at 11 a. m. , Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Magnolia Cemetery. Rev. Greg Hart and Rev. Glenn Tatum. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home will be directing. Left to cherish her memory, loving husband Wayne Tatum of Evergreen, daughters, Paulette Crane (Tim) of Evergreen, brothers, Robert "Bob" Morris of Evergreen and Joe Morris (Lail) of Evergreen, grandson, Hunter Pemberton and great-grandsons, Gunner and Phisher Pemberton. Mrs. Tatum was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Trahan and step-father, Mike Trahan, grandson, Justin Pemberton.

Funeral Services will be held at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church on Sunday, December 10, 2023, beginning at 2:00 p. m. with Bro. Rex Tolbert, Bro. Greg Smith, Bro. Andy Etheridge, and Bro. Mrs. Martha Tanner McDaniel of Evergreen, AL passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Born in Evergreen and moved to Mobile in the early 1940's and following her marriage to Benney Jay McDaniel in 1957 moved to the Slidell, Louisiana area in 1963, where they operated a residential construction and real estate company. Mrs. Betty Sue Morris, 84 went home to meet her Lord & Savior Jesus on August 19, 2023. Betty was born in 1938, in Wilkinson County, Georgia. She married the love of her life in November 1962. They traveled the world together and had three children. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm. , Wednesday, August 23 at Bowers Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Neal Butler will officiate. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Cope-Keahey is entrusted with these arrangements. Betty is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Morris. Her daughter Donna (Mac) Goneke of Evergreen and her son, Mark (Windy) Morris of Evergreen. Survivors also include her five grandchildren, Christopher Goneke, Erik (Christina) Morris, Leah (Brady) Simpson, Jillian (Martin) Brooks, and Kaitlin (Trevor) Morris. I'm addition to her children and grandchildren the light of Betty's life was her five great grandchildren, Noah, Conley, Virginia, Walter, and Hannah Claire. James "Jim" Curtis Sage, 70, of Castleberry AL, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on July 30, 2023. Although cancer took his earthly body, he is now made whole through his faith in Christ. Following 4 honorable years of service to the United States Navy as a Gunners Mate Technician aboard the USS John F Kennedy, Jim made Pensacola, FL his home. There he continued his federal service as a postal worker for over 30 years and was a successful restaurateur. An avid guitar and drum player, Jim enjoyed jamming out with friends and family at every opportunity. He also loved all the Gulf Coast has to offer. Whether it was diving, boating or surfing, he was happiest on the water. He is forever remembered by his wife of 33 years, Ann Coleman Sage, as well as 3 children, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and many friends.
