Mrs. Betty Hobbs Lewis, age 88, of Griffin, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Lewis was born in Lagrange, GA. on December 30, 1930. She was the daughter of the late J.D. Hobbs and Bertha Hendrix Hobbs. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, LTC. Robert O. "Bob" Lewis and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Lewis retired after 28 years of service from Griffin Technical College. She was a long- time member of First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Magna Sunday School Class and the XYZ. Survivors include her daughters, Diane Lewis Bradley and Terry Lewis Colling; brother, Henry Wallace Hobbs; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Faye Hobbs, Linda and William Prescott, and Diane Harling; nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Betty Hobbs Lewis will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00AM in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit with the family of Friday, April 26, 2019 from 6-8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to First Baptist Church Clothes Closet.
