In the early hours of June 19, 2022, Betty Lou Jones, crossed over into Glory! She met her Savior, Jesus Christ face to face! I also know that she was greeted by many of her loved ones that had passed before, but especially the love of her life, Jimmie Jones. Betty was 88 years young! She would always tell me, age was just a state of mind, and she lived, loved, and laughed with that mindset. There wasn't much that she wouldn't or couldn't do. Betty was born on September 27, 1933 to Raymond and Thelma Stockwell, in Wichita Falls as this was her lifelong home. Betty was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved her family fiercely and who always put our needs above her own. She was a stay-at-home mom until her youngest started school. She wasn't very far away as she started work at Huey Elementary cafeteria, which is where Suzanne started school. Later, she advanced to Hirschi High School, where she followed Charlie during parts of his years there. Her most loved position with the school district was when she was given the job of supervisor. She loved going from school to school working with the ladies and helping feed the children. Betty retired after 34 years of serving the community and the children of WFISD. Her biggest love was Jesus and she taught her children and grandchildren of the love He has for us! She was such an example of a Proverbs 31 woman! After coming to live with us mom found that she had a great love for the peaceful country life and a love for goats that she had never explored, so we got goats! She leaves behind 7 of her favorite goat babies, that she loved to bottle feed and cuddle. (Milo, Ollie, Theo, Willow, Sugar Foot, Oreo, and Elsa); Last, but not least, Baby Jones, her little chihuahua sidekick, who adored her as much as she did him! Betty is survived by her daughter, Suzanne and husband Greg McKenzie. ; daughter in law, Donna Alexander; a sister, Charlotte and her husband Kenneth Bowling; nephew, Bill Shank and wife, Irene. Her most treasured jewels were her grandchildren that she poured her heart and life into. Eric Solomon, Geoffrey Works, Isabella McKenzie, Belanna McKenzie and partner, Derek Vaden; (great-grandchildren, Emily, Autumn, Logan, and Londyn) Tre McKenzie, Troy McKenzie and wife, Vicki, (great-grandchild, Aiden, Khaleesi) Trinity and husband, Jack Denton (great-grandchildren LouAnn,,LeeAnn and,Ashlyn), Amber and husband, Dave Minzer (great-grandchildren, Zoie and Aston); Jordan Francis (grandchildren Adalyn and Skyler), Kimberly and husband, Chris Weaver, and their two children, Presley and Colton; and Melissa Alexander (Grand dog, Rusty); niece, Belynda and husband,, Mark Abbey, (Noah, Jonah, and Grace); one great niece, Deborah and husband Brian Ferguson; (great-grand niece, Courtney, great-great grand nieces, Braelynn and Grayson)Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Thelma Stockwell; her husband, Jimmie G.
