Betty Dewolfe Obituary

Wyoming - Betty L. DeWolfe, 87, of Wyoming, passed away at 9:40 p. m. Thursday, May 4, 2023, at The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis - St. Peters, MO. Betty was born on November 16, 1935, in Galva, the daughter of Raymond and Martha (Olson) Jones. She married John A. DeWolfe on September 18, 1955, in LaFayette. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2003. Surviving are one daughter, Cheryl (Jeff) Sellers of St. Charles, MO; three granddaughters, Jennifer (Nate Fennewald) Sellers of Portland, OR, Emily Sellers, and Jessica Sellers both of Chicago, IL; one great-grandchild, Eli Fennewald, and another on the way; one brother, Bob (Marybeth) Jones of Kewanee; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Jones of Peoria; and Sharon Eberle of Chillicothe. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael DeWolfe; one brother, Jim Jones and brother-in-law, Marvin Eberle. Betty loved spending time with family and friends. She also loved gardening, reading, baking and making her community a better place. Her celebration of life service will be at 11:00 a. m. on Friday, May 19, 2023, at the Wyoming United Methodist Church, where Betty was a long-time, active member. Rev. Dan Wright will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service also at the church. Haskell Funeral and Cremation Services, Wyoming is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyoming United Methodist Church.
