Betty Davis Obituary

Betty Burle (White) Davis was born on August 14, 1934, to Burle White and Ella Mai Parker in Bell Buckle, Tennessee. Betty was married to the love of her life William Osborne Davis (Billy) 49 years. They loved to travel, camp, and socialize with friends along with having a very active social life with the Church of Christ in various locations where they lived in Michigan and Tennessee. Betty enjoyed spending time with family including three children, eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She loved shopping, eating with friends and family in restaurants, and spending time at her place in Florida. Betty is preceded in death by her adoring husband of 49 years Billy and her loving daughter Vickie Smith. Survived by children Cathy (Jeff) Craven and Bill (Laura) Davis and son-in-law Jeff Smith; Grandchildren Mindy (Jeff) Campbell, Stephanie (Ryan) LaChappelle, Kristen (Josh) Harvey, Matt (Hope) Davis, Lindsay Smith, Alex (Ali) Davis, Collin Smith, Olivia Davis. Great grandchildren include Lydia and Ella LaChappelle, Kaylin and Nolan Campbell, and Nora and Griffin Harvey. All people shop but not all people are gold medal shoppers. Betty was a gold medal shopper. Malls, retail stores and outlets nationwide have lost a role model. Shopping will never be the same. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 9:30 to 11 am and celebration of life from 11-12 am with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Shelbyville, TN.
