"Funeral services for Beth Ann White Fryery will be held at 10:00 a. m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023, in the chapel of John Kramer \u0026amp; Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff White officiating. Interment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 4:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. and will resume on Saturday, from 8:30 a. m. until time of service. Beth Ann White Fryery, 59, of Lecompte, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, in her residence. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ray and Nelly White; maternal grandparents, Leo and Grace M. McNamee Zesky; mother, Gretchen Louis White; and father-in-law, Frank Basil Fryery. Beth was born and raised in Oil City, Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Oil City High School in 1982. After graduation, she then settled in Dallas, Texas, where she met her husband, Chris Fryery, and they married in 1990 and started a family. In 2004, Beth and Chris moved to Central Louisiana, Chris's hometown area. Beth was a devoted wife and loving mother. She loved being a homemaker, loved to bake and crochet especially during her favorite holiday, Christmas. Beth had a heart of gold, an infectious smile, and a laugh you could not forget. She never met a stranger and could hold a conversation for hours on end. Beth always talked about her girls, whom she loved so much, and she considered herself fortunate to have raised them at home since birth. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 33 years, Chris Allen Fryery of Lecompte; their daughters, Marley Grace Fryery, of Alexandria, and Lainey Hope Fryery, of Lecompte; her father, Robert Arnold White, of Oil City, PA; two brothers, Charles Robert White of Seneca, PA, and Kevin Leo White of Eerie, PA; one sister, Lori Marie White, of Oil City, PA; mother-in-law, Pearl Ann Fryery; sister-in-law, Kimberly Renee Fryery of Fruita, CO; brothers-in-law, Drew Basil Fryery of Alexandria, LA, and Travis Vaughn Fryery (Lauran) of Loma, CO; nieces, Aubrey Pearl Fryery and Lariat Lynn Fryery both of Lomo, CO; nephew, Zachary Chase Fryery of Fruita, CO; and last but not least her cat, Honey, who provided her much comfort. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Mary Cain; sisters, Betty Everett and Carol Dryden; brother, Thomas Cain; and two grandsons, Logan Simpson and Parker Briggs. Trisha was a registered nurse for over 20 years. She was married to the love of her life, Mike, for 52 years. Trisha enjoyed painting and crabbing, but most of all loved spending time with her family. She was a loving devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, who will be dearly missed. Mr. Steadman, 92, of Lecompte, entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria, LA. Wayne was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed traveling, carpentry work, watching tv, and reading books on history. He loved visiting people, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Elizabeth Steadman; one son, Timothy H. Steadman; one stepson, Daniel Whittington; two brothers, Warren Steadman and Bud Steadman; and three sisters, Betty Lohman, Jean Brockway, and Hazel Nix. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of thirty-five years, Delores Steadman of Lecompte; four sons, Wayne H. Steadman, Jr. of Florida, Warren P. "Genevieve Robinson-Shearer was born on April 3, 1928, to the late Ruben Robinson, Sr. (1886-1940) and Kate Pugh Robinson (1899-1989) of Lecompte, Louisiana. Genevieve was the third of six children in this union. She was preceded in death by her husband Roosevelt Shearer (2000) their marriage union lasted 50 years. Children: Donald Ray (2022), Raymond Louis (2021), Betty Jean (2014) and Gregory Pedro (1983). Grandchildren: Brannon, Earl Jr. , Chanelle and Mylan. Siblings: Leatta Tolbert (Chicago), Bessie, Ruby, Abe and Ruben, Jr. Robinson of Louisiana. Genevieve was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age. Genevieve relocated from Lecompte, LA to Chicago in the late 1940s and was employed as a seamstress. She then met her husband and they were blessed with 10 children. Genevieve was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was known to be an independent woman of few words, had positive energy, very funny, strong-willed, highly energetic, enjoyed cooking, shopping and was still getting around the house doing chores until she was hospitalized. In 1993, Genevieve and Roosevelt relocated from Chicago to Decatur, Georgia to be closer to their roots. Genevieve departed this life peacefully for her heavenly reward on May 31, 2023 among close family members. Genevieve's memories will continue to live in the hearts of her family and friends, her legacy is emboldened through her Children: Earl, Jenette, Billy (Eletha), Melvin (Sharon), Marylee and Betsy. Grandchildren: Ramada, Zamien, Quarnelle, Shinette, Nicole, LaTonya, Brandon, Jeremy, Billy, Jr. , British, Nichola, Raymond Jr. , Raynard, Rayford, Raywood, Antoine, Lynette, Melvin Jr. , Courtnie, Caitlin and Christen. John Barney Burns, Jr. , 73, of Lecompte, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021, at his residence. John is preceded in death by his parents, John Barney Burns, Sr. and Ione Shirley Burns. John Burns was born on August 16, 1948. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and in the United States Army for 20 years. After his retirement, John was a trainer in customer service for Baker Manufacturing, McKesson and Parada. He loved to sing and loved southern gospel music. John enjoyed going to his camp and fishing at Toledo Bend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
