"Larry L. Jordan Sr., 75 of Bluffton passed away on Tuesday morning, February 13, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 18, 1948, in Wayne County, West Virginia to Johnny and Eunice (Maynard) Jordan. Larry was a truck driver for many years as was fitting as he had a Gypsie soul and was considered a wandering man. He could never sit still and was always on the go. He will be missed by his children; Hannah Jordan of Decatur, Larry Jordan Jr. of West Virginia, Michael (Laura) Jordan of Bluffton, Cheryl (Brandy) Blevins of Bluffton, James Jordon of Decatur, Jason (Lena Carroll) Jordan of Bluffton, Jonathon Jordan of West Virginia, Danielle Grogg of Decatur, Daniel Grogg of Florida, and Daniel Blevins of West Virginia along with 25 grandchildren including 5 special grandchildren, Larry L Jordan III, Linda Jordan, aka “Mousie”, Kayla Jordan, Joshua Jordan and Charity Muncy; and 9 great-grandchildren. Survivors also include sisters Mary Lou Maynard and Lindsey Ray (Opal) Jordan both of West Virginia Funeral Service Details in West Virginia are still being completed. "Harold D. Arnold, 90 of Bluffton, passed away on Sunday morning, January 28, 2024, at Christian Care Retirement Community in Bluffton. Harold was born on August 21, 1933, in Liberty Township, Wells County, the son of Luster Arnold and Gertrude (Reece) Arnold. He graduated from Rockcreek High School in Wells County with the class of 1951. He entered service in the U.S. Army in 1954 and was later honorably discharged. Harold married Marjorie A. Jennings on Mar 3, 1956, in Markle, IN. He worked as a type setter for the Bluffton News Banner for 26 years, was a realtor with McBride Reality for many years and then finished his working career as a custodian for the Northern Wells Community Schools system. Harold was a member of the Markle Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Marjorie, of Bluffton, IN. They had two sons, Kent (Linda) Arnold of Decatur, IN and Steven Arnold of Bluffton, IN, and two daughters, Kelli Arnold of Indianapolis, IN and Jodi Arnold of Bluffton, IN. They also had 9 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Luster and Gertrude Arnold, his brothers Dale Arnold, Bob Arnold and Max Arnold, and his sister Marjorie Spoolstra. Visitation will take place from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Thursday, (Feb. 1, 2024) at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, (Feb. 2, 2024) at the funeral home with calling after 10 A.M. Pastor Gerald Moreland will officiate. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton. "Jane Ann Hullinger, 94, of Bluffton, passed away early Sunday morning, January 7, 2024, at River Terrace Estates in Bluffton. Jane was born on December 11, 1929, in Huntington to Harold and Eva Alberta (Thomson) Jacobs and graduated from Huntington High School in 1947. Jane was dedicated to raising her children and volunteered with the Red Cross and Meals on Wheels. Jane was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bluffton. She loved playing piano, knitting, cooking and baking. She was a special caregiver to her family. On June 19, 1948, Jane married Robert K. Hullinger, Sr. at First United Brethren Church. They shared 63 years of marriage together before his passing on January 4, 2011. Survivors include her children; Robert K. Hullinger, Jr. of Marion, John M. Hullinger of Angola and Rebecca K. (Stan) Worthman of Ossian. Jane was loving known as “Grandma Jane\u0026quot; to 10 grandchildren; Kristina J. (Joel) Roush, Cara L. (David) Teeple, Ryan Hullinger, Elizabeth (Michael) Mendoza, Sierra (Joel) Gibbons, Stone (Shannon) Hullinger, Josie Nicole Tatom, Abby Hullinger, Carli (Brian) Sauer and Shaye (Federico) Worthman, along with 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Jane is preceded in death by her husband, two sons William J. and Thomas A. Hullinger and a daughter-in-law, Julie Hullinger, and her parents. Funeral services will take place at 6 P.M. on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home with Barry Crosbie officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. on Thursday, the time of the service. A private family burial will take place at a later date at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Huntington. There will be no services and burial will be held at a later date at Mt. (Hankins) Barnes, 81 of Bluffton, is saddened to announce that she passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday morning, November 19, 2023, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. She was born on December 9, 1941, in Bluffton, to Howard and Ida (Osborn) Hankins. She worked at Keebler’s in Bluffton. She was a loyal IU basketball fan who loved Bobby Knight. She enjoyed watching Dancing with the Stars. On October 10, 1967, Carolyn and Charles R. “Red” Barnes were married. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2001. Survivors include her five children; John N. Bailey of New Haven, Lorraine K. Wills of McDermott, OH., Charles (Jayne) Barnes of Bluffton, Christina (David Pietz) Barnes of Rochester and Teresa Eubank of Fort Wayne, along with 16 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren with three on the way. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Red and two sisters, Shirley Myers and Volise “Tuttie” Myers. Visitation will be held from 1 P.M. to 7 P.M. on Tuesday, (Nov. 21,2023) at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, (Nov. 22, 2023) at the funeral home with calling for one hour prior to the service. Barry Crosbie will officiate Carolyn’s service. "Terry S. Hampton, 56 of Bluffton, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 8, 2023, at his home in the loving care of his family. He was born on July 31, 1967, in New York to Larry \u0026amp; Brenda H. (Collins) Hampton. Terry attended Bellmont High School and drove for First Fleet for over 27 years. He enjoyed driving race cars at Montpelier Speedway and playing the guitar. He was a very handy person and always had a project going at his home. He attended First Church of Christ and Christian New Light Church in Bluffton. On March 25, 1988, in Darrtown, Ohio, Terry and Jodi (Berry) Hampton were married. Survivors include his wife Jodi Hampton of Bluffton and two daughters: Teri (Tim) Morgan of Huntington and Emily (Trevor McCullough) Hampton of Decatur. Terry was a loving PaPoo to his two grandchildren, Braxton \u0026amp; Cayden McCullough of Decatur. He is also survived by his father, Larry Hampton of Berne and siblings, Anita Hampton of Decatur and Eddie Hampton of Convoy, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda H. Hampton. "Sherryl Dian Nicholson, 71 of Bluffton, passed away Tuesday evening, October 31, 2023, at her residence in the loving care of her family. Sherryl was born on November 21, 1951 in Bluffton to Galen Norman \u0026amp; Ida (Faus) Ripple. She graduated from Southern Wells in 1970. On June 10, 1972, Sherryl and Michael J. Nicholson were married in Bluffton. She was a lifelong Wells County resident who was able to stay at home and raise her three children. Sherryl was a fiercely devoted mother and grandmother, who loved cats. She was a very generous person to those in need. Her charitable acts were always completed anonymously. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Michael of Bluffton, along with her three children; Shawn (Dr. Teresa) Nicholson of Bluffton, Stace Nicholson of Alexandria, VA. and Micah (Nicholas) Wright of Brownsburg, IN, along with five grandchildren; Grace \u0026amp; Olivia Nicholson of Bluffton, Madeleine Nicholson of Alexandria, VA. and Harper \u0026amp; Anderson Wright of Brownsburg. Sherryl is also survived by her brother, Dennis Ripple of Bluffton, a devoted sister-in-law and friend, Sandra Faus of Bluffton, and a lifelong friend, Shirley Markley of Sun City, AZ. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Galen Ripple. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 P. M. on Friday, (Nov. 3, 2023) at Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton with Pastor Les Cantrell officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials may be made in Sherryl's memory to ProMedica Hospice and directed to the funeral home.
