Bernice Williams, 74, of Detroit, MI passed away October 3, 2023 Bernice Rhoberta Williams was born December 18th, 1948 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Clarence Kent Williams and Zella Mae Thomas Bernice was raised in Detroit, Michigan where she graduated from Northern High School Bernice was an honor roll student who went on to attend several colleges, later receiving an Associate Degree in counseling from Wayne Community College Bernice was joined in holy matrimony to Herman Lewis Burton Sr To this union Herman Lewis Burton Jr was born Several years later Bernice would welcome her only daughter Keesha Williams and her youngest son Treshawn Williams Grandsons Antonio Nicosia and Jaylen Williams Bernice was employed by the U S Postal Service and also a counselor for Narcotics Anonymous Bernice was very active in the N A She attended many conventions including one held in Hawaii She was also a licensed foster caregiver, caring for several children over the years Bernice loved reading, watching comedy shows, and spending time with her grandson Jaylen, often taking him out to eat at Applebee's Bernice accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at the early age of 74 Bernice departed this life on October 3rd, 2023 She is proceeded in death by her parents She leaves to cherish her memories: all of her children; her only sibling, her sister Sheila Williams; and a host of cousins Bernice will be missed by all who loved her To to the family or in memory of Bernice Williams, please

Kathleen A. Maggio (Hurley) was born on August 11, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan. She passed away on December 7, 2023 at the age of 76 in Westland, Michigan. Kathleen was a proud homemaker, she kept her home in immaculate condition and enjoyed caring for her beloved family. She often hosted Sunday dinner for her family over the years. She was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a passion for the outdoors. Kathleen was known to feed the squirrels and birds. Some of her favorite times were spent out in nature, especially up north. She enjoyed all music, but most notably songs by Ozzy Osbourne. Kathleen was a loving daughter to parents, Howard and Virginia, and wrote them notes often. She was also an incredibly caring person to her family, friends, and even strangers. She enjoyed volunteering at several local organizations in order to help others in her community. Kathleen is survived by her five children: Alicia (Fred) Covell, Clifford (Lelia) Selvia, Noel (Edward Johnson) Derr-Johnson, Miles Parry, Vickie (John) Soltis; brother, Michael (Judith) Hurley; sister, Maureen (William) Witkowski; twelve grandchildren: Michael (Melanie), Andrew, Clarice, Marlene, Lauren (Josh), Daniel (Amy), Hayden, Delani (Michael), Lydia, Natalie, Maci, and Johnny; and seven great-grandchildren, Alihannah, Levi, Charlotte, Julianna, Freddy, Owen, and Mila. She is preceded in death by parents, Howard Edward and Virginia Mary Hurley, and sister, Carole Erdman. Annette Sally Arcuragi, age 79, of Westland, Michigan passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Annette was born on November 28, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan to John and Sally Penczak. In 1964, Annette married the love of her life, Paul, in Detroit, Michigan and together, they enjoyed 59 years of marriage. Annette loved taking photos, listening to oldies music, visiting their summer place in Homer, Michigan, and teaching special education for over 30 years. Above all else though, Annette adored her family and every moment she was able to spend with them. She will be greatly missed by all those she loved and cherished. Annette is survived by her husband, Paul; children: Michael (Tracy) Arcuragi, Lisa (Terry) Vroman, Steven Arcuragi, and Michele (Ronald) Paddock; grandchildren: Christopher (Jenny) Arcuragi, Ashley (Alex) Shaw, Anthony (Kalie) Arcuragi, Amanda (Don) Haggitt, Chez (Kyle) Devries, Scott (Kay) Arcuragi, Mikey (Megan), David Arcuragi, Bailey (Zach) Spadacini, Brooke Arcuragi, Stevie Arcuragi, and Dominic Arcuragi; 21 great grandchildren; and sisters: Amelia and Sally. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nancy. A memorial gathering will be on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 3pm-8pm at Harry J Will Funeral Home - 34567 Michigan Ave, Wayne, Michigan. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of John Dean, cheerfully known as Homey, on Monday December 4th, 2023. Born in Wayne Michigan, and lived in Westland, the community in which he lived in his entire life of 60 years. He was a graduate of Wayne Memorial High School in 1981. Homey dedicated many years to life on the road as a semi truck driver, becoming a part of the "million mile club". He was a man of many passions, including University of Michigan athletics, fantasy football, golf, bowling, bringing people together, and giving back to others through his many charity events. He was well known for organizing his annual winter horseshoe tournament, also known as "snowshoes" which helped to donate over $25,000 over the past 30 years. Homey is survived by his son, Jonathan Dean, his daughter Jordyn Dean, Jonathan's wife Elise Dean, Jordyn's partner Devin Lindholm, and their daughters Maci and Kali Lindholm. He is also survived by his eldest brother Paul Dean, second eldest brother Steve Dean, and his ex-wife Deborah Dean. His loved ones hold his memory close to their hearts. Homey is predeceased by his father Edward Dean, his mother Caroline Dean, and his sister Patricia Cerrito. Homey's life was a journey of love, resilience, and creativity. He was a father, grandfather, and friend to many leaving behind a legacy of kindness and generosity. His absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit lives on in the memories and stories shared by family and friends. Homey's time on earth may have ended too soon, but his story continues through the lives of those he loved. Rest in peace, Homey. You will forever be in our thoughts and hearts. Go Blue!Show more
