Bernadette Petti Obituary

On May 5, 2023, Bernadette Petti, 88, resident of Rye, NY and Ridgefield, CT passed away after a battle with cancer. She was born April 16, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Joseph and Norma Lynch. She was raised in Brooklyn and graduated with a teaching degree from St. John's College in Queens. She was an avid sports enthusiast, METS fan, captain of her high school basketball team and later competitive tennis player, golfer and bowler. She had a deep patriotic love for this magnificent country that led her to open a gift store in Stamford, CT featuring gifts and jewelry made only in America by American craftsmen and artists. But her true passion in life, was her family. She was the proud mother of four beloved children; Mary Ruddat and her husband Michael from West Hartford, CT, Sharon Camillo and her husband Anthony residents of Ridgefield, CT, Chris Petti of White Plains, NY, and David Petti and his wife Danni of Rye, NY. She considered her eleven grandchildren the greatest blessing of her life. She made an everlasting impact on them as a joyful presence in their lives showering them with unconditional love and enthusiastically sharing their interests and zest for life. She was predeceased by her two brothers, James and Robert Lynch and her husband of 35 years Dr. Norman Petti. Visitation will be 9:00-10:30 AM on Monday May 15, 2023 at Craft Memorial Home in Port Chester, NY, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church 84 Sherwood Avenue Greenwich, CT. Internment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
