Lynch, Bernadette A. , 57, of Parsippany, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Bernadette was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and has lived in Parsippany over the past year. She was predeceased by her father, Robert E. Lynch in 1986. Bernadette is survived by her beloved mother, Bridget Lynch-Horgan and her step-father, Cornelius Horgan, by her sisters, Margaret Scotto & her husband, Arthur, and Claire O'Grady & her husband, Richard, by her brothers, Donald Lynch & his wife, Laura and Kevin Lynch & his wife, Jacqueline, and by many nieces and nephews. He moved to Lyndhurst where he lived for many years before moving to Sussex County. During his time at Harrison High School, Nick played basketball and made lifelong friends. His talent earned him a scholarship to Northeastern University where he fell in love with the city of Boston. Nick had a lifelong career in management. Nick was passionate about antique cars and he enjoyed attending car shows, earning him many awards for car showings. He had a keen eye for valuable coins and stamps which he collected. Nikolaos is survived by his daughter, Maria DiDomizio and her husband Thomas, a cherished granddaughter, Evelyn, dear Sister, Sophia Economou-Ellison and her husband James, an adored niece and nephew, Maria and Andreas Economou-Ellison and his longtime partner, Elaine Economou. He was predeceased by his parents, Antonios and Maria Economou. Paluzzi, Janie Marie (nee Scaglione), 69, died on Sunday, November 19, 2023. Janie was born in Bayonne, raised in Lyndhurst and moved to Hightstown to raise her family for 40 years. She worked as an Executive Administrator for Johnson & Johnson for 38 years. Those closest to her knew her as smiling, witty and joyful. Janie loved spending time with friends and family between cooking, gardening, and crafting she was always there to lend or extend a helping hand and invite you in. Her joy was contagious to everyone blessed to be in her company and a part of her life. The quietness of her absence leaves us heartbroken and we will miss her deeply. Janie is survived by her high school sweetheart and beloved husband of 45 years, Joseph A. Paluzzi, her daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Neil Campbell, and her grandkids Corey, Abby, and Vincent Campbell. She is also survived by her dear brothers and sisters, Doug Greene, Frank Scaglione, Rosanne Stewart, Kay Holub, Jimmy Halligan and George Halligan as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews she loved dearly. Neal A. Calabrese, Jr. (87) passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, November 10, 2023. Born in Hoboken to Matilda (Ballerino) and Aniello Calabrese, he resided in Hoboken and Ridgefield Park before moving to North Arlington. Neal is survived by his loving children, Laura Harris (Mark), Neal Calabrese III (JoAnne) and Rachelle Santala (William). Proud grandfather of Katherine and Neal Calabrese IV and Brielle and Samantha Santala. Devoted brother of Camille Calabrese (Nissan), and uncle to Neal Kiniery (Maria). He is predeceased by his sister, Maryann Kiniery and nephew, Kenny Kiniery. Neal was a proud longshoreman, working at Port Newark for many years before becoming the Shop Steward at the Meadowlands, Local #69. While Neal loved his jobs and made many lasting friendships, what he loved most of all was spending time with his grandchildren, attending their sporting events and cooking for his family. Everyone who knew him understood that food was an expression of his love. Robinson, Harry W. , 101, died on Monday, October 23, 2023. Mr. Robinson was born in Hoboken, raised in Jersey City and Union City, and moved to Lyndhurst in 1974 where he was a resident for almost 50 years. Harry was a state champion gymnast in high school in the 1930's. He competed in gym meets held at Annapolis and West Point. He won three medals in the 1939 New Jersey State Championship meet (a gold for tumbling, a silver for horizontal bar and a bronze for long horse) - the most medals earned that day by any gymnast. Harry proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Ranger (CV-4) from January 1943 through January 1946. His rank was Electrician Mate, 2nd Class. He saw action near the port of Bodo, Norway, where the USS Ranger bombed German shipping traffic and he earned three medals, Pacific Campaign, Atlantic Campaign and Asiatic Campaign. After the war, he attended the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa on the GI BIll from 1949-1952. He was licensed as a chiropractor and in 1967, he became a welder for PSE&G, until he retired in 1987. His favorite pastime was listening to 1940's big bands jazz. His knowledge of music was as extensive as his record collection. Harry also penned lyrics to his favorite Jackie Gleason instrumentals for his wife and children. Harry is predeceased by his beloved wife, Nellie D. Robinson (nee Ruggiero) in 2017 and is survived by his loving children, Richard Robinson and his wife, Priscilla, Eileen West and her husband, Stephen, and Kathy Robinson as well as his cherished grandchildren, Christopher Manoni, Sarah Jane Telesca, and Mark Robinson, and by his adored great grandchildren, Jason Noah Manoni, Alison Angelina Manoni, Aurora Telesca, and Stella Telesca. Harry is also survived by his brother, Richie Robinson, and his sister, Loretta and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc. , 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 10 AM - 12 PM.
