A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a. m. , followed by a reception at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Hall. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Darlene Garlick Lopez; loving children, Barney and Alexandria Lopez; loving brothers, Victor and Sammy; and loving sister, Bertha Benavidez. Chris is preceded in death by his parents. He was born in 1960 to loving parents Victor D. and Antonia Gurule Lopez of Jarales, NM. Chris spent most of his life in Valencia County. He graduated from Belen High School in 1978. He spent most of his life working as a gardener \u0026amp; and landscaper. Chris owned and operated a small business, Triple L Landscaping \u0026amp; Maintenance. He was proud of his work and enjoyed maintaining beautiful yards for customers, many of whom considered him a close family friend. Chris worked decades with some clients, and with other clients, Chris was maintaining their yard before they even moved in! If you knew Chris, you likely endured a long, exciting conversation. He loved to talk! He had a sense of humor, and he was well-versed in numerous topics. You name it, Chris had an opinion and was eager to talk about it! Chris even had 770 KKOB on speed dial. If there's anything he loved more than talking, it was singing. Over the last 20 years, Chris sang in the choirs for San Clemente Church in Los Lunas and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Peralta. He found solace in his faith and enjoyed going on retreats with the San Clemente Men's ACTS Groups. Chris' faith helped him through some difficult times while he prayed and waited for his wife's eventual liver transplant. Please sign Chris's online tribute at www. romerofuneralhomenm. com Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St. , Belen, NM. "Show more
