Benjamin Harrison Conklin Sr. , of Wallkill, NY passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 in Middletown. He was 94 years old. The son of the late William Homer Conklin Sr and Martha Elizabeth Kelly Conklin, he was born November 18, 1928 in Pomona, NY. Benjamin served in the United States Army, working in radio communications during the Korean War, where he received the Korean service medal with one bronze star, and the United Nations service medal. He worked as a plant operator for Ward Pavement in Haverstraw, NY and for many years also worked at Tilcon. He was a 50-year member of the Hillcrest fire company in Rockland County New York. He is survived by his son Benjamin Harrison Conklin Jr. and wife Tammy R Bolson Conklin, their children Benjamin Harrison Conklin III and Mae Lynn Conklin. Late daughter Nora Jean and her late husband Robert Jones, and children Robert Benjamin, Timothy Michael, and Jessica Jean Myers. Son Timothy William and wife Charlotte Lee Jones Conklin and their children Donald Patrick Bolson, Natasha Cherie Conklin, Keirdan Ryan Conklin, Christopher Louis Jones, and Charleen Edith Jones. Daughter Kelly Conklin and significant other Richard Quinones and son Charlie; and many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his wife Shelia Jean Call Conklin, his parents and his seven siblings. Visitation will take place Wednesday, September 13, 2023, 2pm-4pm and 6pm-9pm at Wallkill Funeral Home, 12 Bona Ventura Ave. , Wallkill, NY 12589 The funeral service will take place Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Liberty, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Walden Humane Society, 2489 Albany Post Road, Walden, NY 12586.

Thomas A. Zolnoski, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 68 years of age. The son of the late Frank and Mary Zolnoski, he was born on February 23, 1955 in Middletown, NY. Tom had been employed by the City of Middletown at the water treatment plant. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where he was an Altar Server and custodian. Tom was an avid runner, and won many trophies at local races. He also loved cats, in addition to housing many indoor domestic cats, daily he would bring cat treats and food to several feral cat colonies around town. Survivors include: his brother, Stanley Zolnoski and his wife Elizabeth of New Port Richey, FL and his sister, MaryAnn McKeon and husband Dennis of Waxhaw, NC; and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. Tom was predeceased by his brothers, Michael, Anthony & Francis Zolnoski, sister Patricia Vargas and his companion Alice McGeady. Cremation took place at the Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh, NY. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10 AM Saturday, November 25th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Euclid Avenue Ext. , Middletown, NY. Interment of his cremains will immediately follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Cottage St. , Middletown, NY. Kevin V. Hunt of Wallkill, NY, passed away unexpectedly on November 9th, 2023. He was 74. The son of Robert & Emma Hunt, he was born July 15, 1949 in Newburgh NY. As a young man, Kevin served in the Armed Forces and took great pride in serving his country. He continued his service by joining the Department of Corrections as a Corrections Officer and retired 27 years later as a Deputy Superintendent for Programs. He owned and operated Hunt Ceramic Tile for over 30 years and also found the time to get involved in politics. Kevin joined the Environmental Commission in the Town of Shawangunk in 1988. He became a Town Councilman in 1990. He rose to Town Supervisor in 1992 which he served for 6 years before serving a term as an Ulster County Legislator. Kevin was currently serving as Town Justice for which he had been for nearly 20 years. Kevin lived a full life and lived every day according to his motto, "Life is good". He has a large loving family and many good friends. He had an undeniable zest for life, a tenacious work ethic, and a kind heart. He was heavily invested in his friends, family, and community. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Kevin was passionate about his "toys". He loved his motorcycles and his muscle cars, which he'd been driving, building, and rebuilding since he was a young man. He found contentment in both the menial things in life as well as the finer things; from chopping wood to expensive wine and imported cigars. He really did it all. Survivors include his wife Magda Hunt at home; daughter Amanda Demshick & Wayne Erickson; son Gregory & Kristie Hunt; son Derrick & Tara Saunders; and son Jared & Kayla Pillitteri. Siblings; Elaine Hunt, Ken Hunt, David Hunt, and Robin Scalfari, along with his many nieces and nephews. Six grandchildren; Alex & Sydney Demshick, Tyler & Emilia Demshick, Britney Demshick, Raelyn Demshick, Landen Saunders, Jett Pillitteri, Parker Saunders, and Kanon Pillitteri. Four Great Grandchildren; Lilliana Demshick, Zain Demshick, Finley Demshick, and Soren Demshick. He was predeceased by his parents Emma and Robert Hunt; and brother Barry Hunt. A Visitation will take place Wednesday November 15th, 2023 from 3:00 pm-7:00pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home 22 Bank St. Walden NY 12586. The family will have a private service at a later date. Robert W. Weber, a 51 year area resident, entered into rest on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Middletown Park in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 90 years of age. The son of the late William A. and Matilda Pyle Weber, he was born on January 24, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY. Robert was a retired detective with the NYPD last serving with the 19th Precinct in Manhattan. He attended Holy Cross Church in South Centerville and formerly Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Middletown. Robert proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a former Councilman and Town Justice in the Town of Minisink, and former security guard for the Minisink Valley High School from 1986-1995. Robert was a member of Rutgers Engine Company #1 in Johnson, a member of Kiwanis, and member of the Unionville American Legion. Survivors include: his daughter, Kathy Anne Weber of Ellenville; daughter-in-law JoAnn Weber of Westtown; his grandchildren, Kelly Bane, Shannon Bane, & Robert Weber and his wife Krista; his great grandchildren, John Demchak & Isabella Santiago; several nieces & nephews. Audrey L. Keesler, a lifelong resident of Wallkill, NY, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 in Newburgh. She was 90. The daughter of the late Andrew and Clara Ferris, she was born on July 15, 1933 in Newburgh. Upon graduation from high school, Audrey worked for NY Telephone Co. in Newburgh as a telephone operator and later went to work for Sears Roebuck & Company as a clerk. Later Audrey went to work at Fair Rite Products and Dolan Market in Wallkill from where she retired. Audrey was an avid sewer, quilter, and also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and coloring. She was a member of the Wallkill Reformed Church for over 50 years and volunteered in many aspects of her church. Audrey was a member of the Wallkill Public Library's Textile Tuesday group, Gardiner Slow Stitch and past member of Wallkill Women's Club. She is survived by son Charles Keesler (Janet); daughter Jean Connor (Tom); grandchildren Kevin, Steven (Colleen), Ashley, Rafe, Danielle Keesler, Timothy (Jamie) and Matthew (Ashley) Connor; great grandchildren Victoria, Savannah, Dakota, Austin, Tristan, Chase and Caitlin Keesler, Mason and Arya Connor. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas A. Keesler and sons Gary L. and Robert A. Keesler.
