Rebecca 'Becky' Thompson Dunn, 87, of Mt. Gilead, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at First Health Hospital in Pinehurst. A graveside service will be held at 11:30AM on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Wadeville Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Rick Miller will officiate, assisted by Rev. Brantley Moore. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 in the sanctuary at the church. Mrs. Dunn was born on February 5, 1935 in Montgomery County to the late Levi and Olive Bailey Thompson. She was a retired restaurant owner and operator and an active member at Wadeville Baptist Church. In her earlier years, Becky was an avid bowler. She also enjoyed cooking and loved her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Neal Frank Dunn; daughter, Donna Willets; son in law, Patrick Parks; and brothers, Bobby, Leroy, Jimmy, E. T. and Terry Thompson. She is survived by sons, Rick Miller of Star and Jeff Miller of Mount Gilead, Lonnie Dunn of Albemarle; daughters, Rhonda Dunn of Mount Gilead, Sue Parks of Mount Gilead and Toni Milligan of Ash; 22 grandchildren. 43 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
