Barry J. Orris, age 69, of Duquesne passed away on Saturday August 19, 2023. He was born on September 23, 1953 in Pittsburgh the son of the late Chester and Ann (Crabtree) Orris. Barry was a veteran of the US Air Force at the rank of SGT with 11 years of service and he retired from Wendy's Restaurant. Barry is survived by his twin brother Larry Orris and his sister Joyce Costantino (Angelo); he was uncle to Sharie Castle, Frank Costantino (Jo) and Angela Canalungo; great-uncle to Kaylee Groff, Sarah and Kara Worrall, AJ, Dominik and Cal Costantino. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 12 Noon until 2PM at the time of a brief prayer service in the Ott Funeral Home Inc. , 805 Pennsylvania Ave. , Irwin 724-863-8900. William J. Butler passed away on September 11, 2023, at the age of 73. Bill was the beloved husband and soulmate of Penny (Souply) Butler for 46 years. He is survived by brothers Dennis (Lori), Frank (Sherry), Larry (Susie), Dan (Susi), sister Janet (Larry) Gilbert, his sister-in-law Pam DeCarlo (Fred), extended family, and all who loved him. Bill was an amazing, loving uncle to his many nephews and nieces creating lasting memories with holiday parties, hayrides, and vacations. Bill could always be found on family vacations grilling meals for the entire family. He would rarely sit down to eat since he would sample his cooking as he went! Bill was preceded in passing by his parents, Frank J . Sr and M. Jane (Hillstrom) Butler, nephews Jason Butler, Patrick Butler and his mother-in-law Viola Souply. He proudly served in the Army Reserves and was the co-owner of Pen-Dor Machines in Irwin, PA. He later worked as an independent contractor installing digital readouts on conventional machinery in machine shops. Bill was a Steelers fan, enjoyed golfing with his brother-in-law Fred, fishing with his brother Frank, special trips with his siblings to the Strip District to shop, sipping a good bourbon, and making people laugh. He was always willing to help anyone in need and will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. Arrangements were private. "Diane M. (Nehrig) Ramsey, 77, of North Irwin, passed away Sunday November 5, 2023 afteralongbattlewithcancer. She was born June 17, 1946 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Martina C. (Suttle) Nehrig and was also preceded in death by her husband Ronald B. Ramsey. She worked as a secretary for Lyle Bair Insurance Agency for thirty years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin and was a member and longtime officer for the Irwin Women of the Moose and a former member of the Red Hatters. She loved her grandchildren and doing for them and enjoyed going out to eat. She is survived by her children Ronald P. (Manda) Ramsey of Avonmore, Pam Larcom of Canton, Linda (Doug) Jaffre of North Huntingdon, and Jen Howley of North Irwin; her grandchildren who affectionately knew her as \u0026quot;Bubble\u0026quot;, Eddie, Damian, Abby, Dominic, Kaydee, Gaby, Savannah, Hayley, and Marcel; her great grandchildren Ayden, Ava, and Ashton; her sister Martina A. In loving memory of Larry Keith Caldwell, 75, who passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 3, 2023. Larry was born Oct. 11, 1948, in Irwin. He was child No. 7 of 12 to the late Paul and Mildred (Exton) Caldwell. Larry worked as a piledriver with the Piledrivers Local Union No. 2264 Pittsburgh. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War; a member and chaplain of the Jeannette Combined Veterans Honor Guard and Jeannette Legion Post 344; the current deputy commander for the American Legion, 31st district; and a member of the Jeannette VFW Post 8240. He was preceded in death by his siblings, George (Shirley), Ken (survived by Phyllis) and John (Eary) Caldwell and Patricia (Smitty) Smith. He married Dorothy Marie Caldwell in 1978. They both live on in the hearts of their three children, Gregory Caldwell (Alison Bresnahan), of Pittsburgh, Trisha Brunazzi (Terry), of Greensburg, and Shelly Vaughn (Robert), of Munroe Falls, Ohio. He was the proud "Papa" to his grandchildren, Nico, Mayla and Talia Brunazzi and Olivia and Liana Vaughn; and the beloved "Uncle Larry" to many nieces, nephews and relatives. Larry is survived by his other siblings, Pauline Klingensmith, Roy Caldwell (Helen), Dolly Kelly (Bruce), Dave Caldwell, Marion Parker (Larry), Cindy Caldwell and Brian Caldwell. Larry loved life. He loved seeing joy in others. He loved poetry, Hemingway, philosophy and a comforting cup of hot water and honey. He loved so easily, never missing an opportunity to tell someone how proud he was or to thank someone for what they do. He lived for the simple moments, enjoying catching baseball, rope swings and slow dancing in the living room with his daughters. He made a difference in every life he met with his sentimental thoughts, contemplative questions and genuine kindness. He was a true friend to a lifetime of people. In his army shoes, he stood with honor and a heavy heart for others. In his work boots, he worked with purpose and persistence. In his grandson's shoes, he shuffled along as he delivered Meals on Wheels, watched tournaments and recitals, taught grandkids to drive and took them on adventures with friends. In his slippers, he sat quietly with simplicity, love and a grateful heart since he was such a "fortunate man. " Larry could tell time with the sun and read a map in the stars. He's in every sunset and in the sea. His heart was full, and now it can rest. "Fair winds and blue skies. " Family and friends will be received for memorial visitation from 4 to 7 p. m. "David W. Hockenbery, 94, of Mountain View Senior Living, Greensburg, formerly of North Irwin, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023. He was born July 12, 1929, in Verona, a son of the late Arthur and Deliah (McCormick) Hockenbery, and in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Hockenbery, Lester Hockenbery, sister, Betty Obies, and his wife, Margaret L. Hockenbery. He went to work at a young age. As a boy he delivered bread and baked goods with his brother from his father\u0027s bread truck, and retired after working 45 years for Jones and Laughlin Steel Company, Hazelwood. David was a past exalted ruler for Elks Lodge No. 577, Turtle Creek. He was always very active in the planning of picnics and bingo events, and he was a member of Free and Accepted Masons Plum Creek Lodge No. 799. He was an avid golfer who especially enjoyed playing at Manor Valley Golf Course. David is survived by his children, Violet (John) Hynes, of Mt. Pleasant, Carol (Paul) Barncastle, of Brookville, Donna Perry, of Virginia, David W. (Barbara Jean) Hockenbery Jr. , of Washington Co. , and Nancy (the deceased Larry) Likovich, of Rankin; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
