Ted A. Riviere Jr., “Teddy”, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 29, 2024 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC. Ted was 60 years old and was born in Charlotte, NC. Ted did not wish to have a funeral or memorial service but has asked his family to scatter his ashes in one of his favorite places, the golf course.Teddy loved golf, Carolina basketball, Cowboys football and spending time with his friends. He had many friends and family who have supported him and stood by him during his battle with Leukemia.Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Ted. A Riviere Sr. and Jenelle H. Barrick. Rose Marie Jans Pfeifer, age 66, of Vale passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Wendover Hospice of Shelby. She was born August 10, 1957 on the Lackland Airforce Base in San Antonio, Tx. to the late Arlington Clayton and Ethel Viola Webb Jans. Rose enjoyed many hobbies, including beach trips, traveling, working in her yard, and dancing (even though she wasn’t good at it). She was also a great cook. Rose also owned her own home cleaning business. She loved her fur baby and her fur grandbabies. She also enjoyed helping others and will be deeply missed by those who knew her. Survivors include her children, Angie B. Wilkinson, Eric Bridges (Crystal), Buffey B. Ramsey (Dustin), Scarlet Pfeifer, and Sophie Pfeifer; sister, Tina Adams (Ronnie), brothers, David Jans, and Danny Jans; grandchildren, Austin and Cain Wilkinson, Matthew, Alex, and Lauren Bridges; Ethan Woods, and Mason Ramsey; great-grandchildren, Cohen Wilkinson, Karsyn, Grayson, and Jameson Bridges; her fur baby, Phoebe; numerous fur grandbabies; and her dear friend, Lisa Beattie. A Celebration of Rose’s Life will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Carpenter-Porter Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. A native of Rutherford County, she was born on April 12, 2001, daughter of David Humphries and Anna Marie Morrison, also Larry and Theresa (Tecie) Humphries.In addition to her parents, Abby is survived by her sisters, her twin-Heidi Lynn Humphries and another sister, Kayla Marie Morrison, her paternal grandparents, Larry and Theresa (Tecie) Humphries and her maternal grandparents, Jerry and Darlene Lovelace, two nieces, Madison Denise Pugh and Maci Melton, one nephew, Brayden Melton. Abby had attended Crest High School. She had a love for plants, rocks, and any animal she encountered. She was a "daddy’s girl" calling him every night, she was also pawpaw’s girl as well, but she had a special bond with her twin sister, Heidi.The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 1-2pm at Cleveland Funeral Service. Mary Frances Jaycox, a beloved member of her community and cherished by all who knew her, passed away on February 13, 2024, at Atrium Health - Cleveland. She was born on November 29, 1948, in Jackson County, Ohio to Ernest Dutch Lahrmer and Rosa Strickland Lahrmer. Mary had a fulfilling career at Wallace Computer Service where she worked for many years and made countless lifelong friends. Her warm and gentle nature was evident to all those she encountered. Mary's kind spirit embodied the qualities of a true Proverbs 31 lady. She possessed an inherent sweetness that touched the hearts of everyone she met.One of Mary's greatest passions in life was quilting. She found joy in creating intricate quilt designs and would eagerly attend quilting gatherings throughout the year at a family retreat in Ohio. These gatherings served as an opportunity not only to pursue her beloved craft but also to deepen familial bonds and create lasting memories.Mary's love for her family knew no bounds. Her son, Todd Jaycox, and grandson, Dutch Jaycox, were the apples of her eye. The joy they brought to her life was immeasurable, providing her with endless love and happiness. However, when her loving husband Robert Lee Jaycox, affectionately known as Bob, passed away suddenly in 2009, Mary experienced an indescribable loss. A piece of her heart went with him, leaving her longing for their reunion.Now, Mary has experienced the ultimate reunion. As she peacefully passed away to be with the Lord, she is reunited not only with her heavenly Father but also with the love of her life, Bob. Their eternal love story continues in the realms beyond our mortal comprehension. In addition to Todd and Dutch Jaycox, Mary is survived by her brother Darrell Roger Lahrmer of Kings Mountain and sister Carol Jean Blackburn of Oak Hill, Ohio. Her presence in their lives brought immeasurable love and light, and her memory will forever be cherished by those closest to her.Mary Frances Jaycox leaves behind a legacy of kindness, grace, and unwavering love. Her gentle spirit and warm smile served as a guiding light to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the profound impact she had on the lives she touched. As we bid farewell to Mary, let us celebrate a life well-lived and find solace in knowing that she has found eternal peace in the loving embrace of her Lord. Keith is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Kathy Allen Hipps of the home, his children, Michelle Meier (Aaron) of Shelby, NC, Mary Kathryn Elmore (Nate) of Kannapolis, NC, and Erin Hipps of Shelby, NC, a grandson, Keith Elmore, two sisters, Robin Patrick (Mike) of Shelby, NC, and Kim Ledbetter (Steve) of Shelby, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews. Born February 4, 1960, in Iredell County, NC, Keith was the son of Jewel Bridges Hipps and the late Lemuel "Lem" Jay Hipps. Keith was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a faithful member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. He was the owner/operator of Hipps Roofing Company, Inc., which he started as a teenager with his dad. Keith Hipps was the epitome of what it means to be a man…tirelessly devoted to his family and to God, with a heart of solid gold. He was beloved by his family, his church, and his entire community, and his enormous physical stature belied the gentle, good-natured giant that he was on the inside. Keith enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends, especially his grandson, "little" Keith. A visitation will be held from 6:00pm – 8:00pm Friday, February 16, 2024, at Cleveland Funeral Services. His contributions to environmental protection and public service have left a lasting impact on the community he served. Additionally, Eloy devoted his time as a Ministerial Servant at the Spanish congregation of Jehovah Witness of Shelby, where he found solace in faith and shared his beliefs with others.Eloy Rosado will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Ana Rosa Perez Rosado, his children Yesenia Rosado and Alex Rosado, grandson Ezekiel Rosado, as well as numerous brothers and sisters. Born July 9, 1947, in Grundy, VA, Gloria was the daughter of the late Andrew Dan Smith and Bessie Pearl Matney Smith and was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Ray Smith. Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, crocheting, singing in church, and spending time with her family.
