Suzanne M. Shields, 54, of Brookville, died Monday, November 20, 2023 in her sleep at her home of natural causes. Born January 12, 1969 in Brookville, she was the daughter of the late Raymond J. and Margaret Baughman Voyer. She was a graduate of Medomak Valley High School in Union, ME. and furthered her education by obtaining her LPN from Jeff Tech. She proudly and honorably served her country for 4 years with the US Air Force. On May 23, 1996 in Reynoldsville she married Jeff E. Shields. He survives. At the time of her death she was currently employed by Laurelbrooke Landing and had worked previously at Mulberry Square in Punxsutawney. Spending time with her family, grandchildren and dogs were her favorite pastime. She cared about her job and got attached to many of her residents. Those surviving in addition to her husband, Jeff, are her sons, Taylor (Alexandria) Shields, Austin Shields and Dustin Shields; her daughter, Danielle Cable; her grandchildren, Celeste Cable, Brooklynne and Beau Shields; her brothers, Raymond (Mary Kay) Voyer, Antonio (Shani) Voyer, Michael (Cheryl) Voyer, Christopher Voyer and Phillip (Jill) Voyer; and her sister, Elizabeth (Chris) Autrey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jean-Paul Voyer and David Voyer; as well as her sisters, Cecilia and her infant twin Margaret Mary Voyer. Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St. , Summerville has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mrs. Shields. A "Celebration of Life" will be planned by her family and held at a later date. Interment will be in Carrier Cemetery, Clover Township, Jefferson County. Rebecca A. Yount, 66, of Mayport died Wednesday evening, November 8, 2023 at her home following an illness. Born on April 15, 1957 in Dubois, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Bonfardin and Virginia Huff McClellan. She was a 1975 graduate of Brookville High School and had been employed by WRC as a caregiver and retired from Wal-Mart after 21 1/2 years. On December 17, 2018 in Brookville she married Dennis Yount. He survives. Her interests included going to camp with her "Sweetheart", watching black and white movies, diamond art painting, spending time at home with her family and being a Grandma. Those surviving in addition to her husband are sons, Joshua (Geena) Long and Michael Long; her brother, Lance (Tracy) Bonfardine; her sisters, Rita Bonfardine, Sandy (Bill) Patterson, Tina Dinger and Melissa Bonfardine; her grandchildren, Sawyer, Lucille and Theodore Long; her step parents, James McClellan and Luella Bonfardin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and step mother, Helen Bonfardin she was preceded in death by her brothers, Louie and Joseph Bonfardine. Final arrangements for Mrs. Yount were entrusted to Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St. , Summerville, PA. Ray H. Lewis, 77, of Marienville died Monday evening, November 6, 2023. Born March 12, 1946 in Erie, he was the son of the late Ray H. and Frances I. Matters Lewis. He was a graduate of Haborcreek High School and was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Lewis proudly and honorably served his country aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt with the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. On July 3, 1970 in Erie he married the former Janet Daub. They enjoyed more than 53 years of marriage prior to his passing. Prior to his retirement in 2009 he was employed by Welch's. His pastimes included hunting and fishing with his grandsons, spending time with his family, friends and his dogs. In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters, Heather (Arthur) Roberts, Kimberly Lewis and Dawn (Joe) Spangler; his grandchildren, Aaron (Grace Rich) Roberts, Alex( Macie Copic) Spangler, Recie Spangler, Dakota (Hali) Lewis, Bethany Roberts and Dawson Cornman; his great grandchildren, Oliver and Elliana Spangler and Baby Girl Lewis; his brothers, Ken Furhman and Dale (Cindy) Furhman; and his sisters, Kathy Tarasovitch and Jan (Mike) Brown. Those preceding him in death in addition to his parents are his sister, Judy Deist; and his brothers-in-law, John Deist and Andrew Tarasovitch. Glenyce Joette Croasmun, 91, of Marienville, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Snyder Memorial Health Care Center following a period of declining health. Born on February 11, 1932 in Brookville, she was the daughter of the late Albert Leroy and Barbara "Esther" Coyle Richards. Glennie was a 1950 graduate of Sigel High School, a member of Marienville Methodist Church, and United Methodist Women. She married the love of her life, Nathan P. Croasmun, on February 14,1953 at the Brookville Methodist Church. They enjoyed 56 wonderful years of marriage prior to his death on April 1, 2009. Glennie worked as an operator for Brookville Bell Telephone and as a secretary for Brookville Glove. Glennie also did Tole Painting in Bradford, worked at the Forest Gift Shop in Marienville, and was employed twenty years as a secretary for Northwest Training Consortium. At a young age she developed a passion for creating numerous pictures from oils, acrylics, and charcoals which allowed her to become a very accomplished artist. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, and journaling. Meal time for the family was of the utmost importance to Glennie. Her family will miss her delicious Apple pies and "Aunt Flo" sugar cookies. Glennie was the kindest, most gentle, loving woman beloved by all who knew her. She instilled her profound Christian values and morals into her children as they grew up. Glennie is survived by her sons, Dale (Joy) Croasmun of Morrisdale and Nathan (Dawn) Croasmun II of Butler; her daughters, Kathryn (Doug) Hepler of Clarion and Jeanne (Randy) Andring of Marienville; eight grandchildren, Angela (Todd) Bainey of Drifting. PA, Justin (Nikki) Croasmun of Lance, PA, Joshua (Tricia) Hepler of Christiansburg, VA, Rachel (Jordan) Carr of Pittsburgh, Jason Andring of Marienville, Tyler (Courtney) Andring of Marienville, Matthew (Annika) Andring of Dillon, CO and Bailey (Ethan) Oberrath of Edinboro; thirteen great grandchildren, Brooke, Lindsey, Lucas, Xavier, Austin, Sophie, Lane, Clark, Reigan, Issac, Jacin, Leland and Mina; her brother Allen Richards of Erie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Nate, she was proceeded in death by her sister Barbara Richards. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Snyder Memorial for their exceptional care and support for Glennie during her time there. Family will welcome friends on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry St. , Marienville, PA. An additional hour of visiting will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 10-11 am prior to a funeral service which will be held at 11 am at the funeral home with Reverend Boyd Edmondson officiating. Interment will follow in North Forest Cemetery, Marienville, PA.
