Barbara Jean Wright, 72, of Shinnston, passed away September 9, 2023, at her residence. She was born on December 4, 1950 to the late Earl Lee Miller and Jeanne Caldwell. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband whom she married December 2, 1995 , Billy Wright; sisters Joan Harriet Miller, Susan Ann Miller, Nancy Cunningham; Rose Mary Policicchio; step father Robert Moore; grandson Raymond Eggleston; and a friend of over 50 years, Krista McIntyre. She will be sadly missed by those she left behind which include her children, daughter Regina Rector of Shinnston and grandchildren Josh Rucker, Joey Rucker, Marcus Rucker (Faith Smith), all of Shinnston, daughter Paula (Brian) Winans of Shinnston, and grandchildren Andrea (Mike) Fedio of Clarksburg, Allison Winans (Myra Hazard) of Shinnston, daughter Linda Vanscoy of Hepzibah, and grandchildren Sarra and Brandon Coleman, and Christopher Rector of California, daughter Sherry (Paul) McElroy of Spelter, WV, and grandchildren Brittany (Charlie) Stire of Spelter, Jeremy Halpenny of Shinnston, Courtney (Malachi) Shank of Indiana, daughter Jamie (Joseph) McIntyre of Clarksburg, and grandchildren Bella (Anthony) Burkhammer, Nicholas Bosley, and Krista McIntyre, all of Clarksburg; stepson William Wright of Pennsylvania; stepdaughter Nichole Moore of Clarksburg, and grandchildren Sunni Moore, Clayton Moore, Sierra Moore, and Lily Moore, all of Clarksburg. Barbara is also survived by her siblings, Tom (Bev) Miller, Roger (Shirley Miller) Patty (Jerry) Riblett, Kim (Rick) Wilson, Tim Miller, Bucky Miller and family friend Dale Goff as well as 20 great-grandchildren. Barbara loved spending time with her family, fishing, gambling, and camping. She enjoyed going to the beach, shopping, and eating, and absolutely loved looking beautiful. Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 11:00AM to 9:00PM, with a funeral service being held at 7:00PM. Karen Deloris Harclerode, 77, a lifelong resident of Shinnston, passed away the morning of Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Clarksburg on July 25, 1946 to the late William K. Shingleton and Deloris (Heldreth) Shingleton. Karen graduated from Shinnston High School in 1964 and in 1993 she received her LPN license from United Technical School in Gore. She was a member of Christ Church United Methodist in Shinnston. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Paul "Ditch" R. Harclerode of Shinnston; one son: Tim Harclerode and wife Carrie of Martinsburg, PA; two daughters: Amber Barr and husband Tom of Bridgeport and Misti Davenport-White and husband Stanley of Plant City, FL; seven grandchildren: Tyler Harclerode and wife Lauren, Kristen Bumgardner and husband Rex, Alex Harclerode and wife Crystal, Jessica Barr and companion Garnett Henderson, Sarah Ring and husband Hunter, Madison Davenport and Harrison Davenport; seven great grandchildren; one brother, David Shingleton and wife Traci and their children: Grant and Austin of Anderson, SC; two sisters in law: Pamela Petrowski and husband Scott of Murrells Inlet, SC and Nancy Shingleton of Lumberport and two brothers in law: Ray Ketterman, Jr. and William Ketterman both of Shinnston. In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by one brother, Billy Shingleton. Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Rhonda Ash Cavins, 69, of Doddridge County, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 6, 2023, at WVU Hospitals Ruby Memorial, in Morgantown. She was born in Doddridge County, June 5, 1954, a daughter of the late Murle Leonard and Freda Fonda Ford Ash. Surviving are two children, Erick Griffin and his wife Wendy, Richmond, VA, and Joseph Griffin and his wife Shannon, Martinsburg; grandchildren, Bella Libbie, Max, Mya, Joey, Isaiah, and Luka Griffin; her siblings, Sharon Ash Darby and her husband Jack, Tampa, FL, Rita Ash Costilow and her husband Bill, Janice Ash Evans and her husband Jerry, Donna Ash Yurkey and her husband Bob, Leonard Ash and his wife Debbie, Rick Ash and his wife Roberta, Freeman Ash, Lester Ash, and Jeff Ash, all of Salem; and several nieces and nephews. Rhonda was preceded in death three children, Hope and Faith Carothers, and John Leonard Griffin; and her siblings Albert Ash, Rexford "Rex" Ash, and Larry Ash. Rhonda loved Doddridge County sports and WVU Football. She enjoyed baking, playing bingo, making quilts, and winning at cards. Rhonda loved people, especially her grandchildren. She lived her life with love and spirit. She was a daughter, sister, mom, and grandmother. She greeted her family friends with a huge hug, a joke to make them smile, and a gift to let them know she'd been thinking of them. Her greatest joy was giving gifts. The family will receive friends at the Welcome Baptist Church, Big Battle Run, Salem, from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1pm, Saturday, October 14, 2023. Maxine Hazel (Momma Mac) Wallace Allen, 94,of Shinnston, was taken to Heaven peacefully on September 23, 2023. She was baptized in the Lord. She was born on February 2, 1929, a daughter to the late John and Lena Shiffra. She is survived by six children, Russell Allen Wallace of Clarksburg, Russelle (Rusty) and Eddie DeVito of Fairmont, Rhonda and Gary Oldaker of Enterprise, Rozalind and Gary Oldaker Jr. of Shinnston, Ryan and Valerie Wallace of Spelter, and Roy and Nancy Allen of Morgantown; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also survived by siblings, Mary Savina, Flora Humphrey, Deannie Caloccia, Mickey (Donna) Shiffra, and Linda Crislip. Maxine was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Lee Wallace, and second husband Bernard Clifton Allen; son Randall Lee Wallace; grandchild Joshua Lee Oldaker; great-grandchild Harper Olive Allen; and brother John Wayne Shiffra. She was an avid cook and gardener, and loved horror and western movies. She loved her flowers, and was a collector of anything Marilyn Monroe. She loved her crosswords and couldn't find ones hard enough. She loved to shop, which would be an all day event. Dontae Michael Carroll, 15, of Worthington, passed from this life into the waiting hands of Jesus on Saturday, September 2, 2023. He was born on November 12, 2007 in Fairmont to Martin Brooks of Shinnston and Whitney (Carroll) Ridenour and stepfather, Dale of Fairmont. Dontae did not know a stranger. He gave the best hugs and had a smile that would light up any room. He had so many friends and just enjoyed life to the fullest. He was always with Uncle Travis, who was truly his best friend, going for walks, going for car rides, anything they could do just for fun. He loved to sit at the piano with his Uncle Justin and learn new songs although his favorite was the Michael Myers theme song to scare his Momma. In addition to his parents, Dontae is survived by two brothers: Gemoni Ridenour of Worthington and Darius Conrad of Salem; maternal grandmother, Vickie Carroll of Fairmont; paternal grandmother Charlene Belton of Fairmont, five uncles: Justin Carroll and wife Dee of Fairmont, Travis Martin of Fairmont, Troy Wilson of Fairmont, Tyler Wilson of Fairmont and Brandon Carroll of Salem; two aunts: Trista Ridenour of Mannington and Deva Belton of Fairmont; one great aunt, Debra Weaver of Mannington as well as several more aunts, uncles and cousins and his church family, Reverend Douglas Wyatt and wife Linda of Fairmont. Dontae is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leslie Carroll. Dontae loved playing video games, especially Fornite and Call of Duty Zombies, riding his dirt bike and playing cards. Frankie Dawn Radabaugh, 45, of Midlothian, TX, formerly of Shinnston, passed away following a battle with cancer on Monday, August 28, 2023 at her home with her family by her side. She was born July 6, 1978 in Clarksburg, a daughter of John R. Matheny and Lori Thacker. She is survived by her loving husband, Jeremy James Radabaugh. She was a loving and devoted mother to Jason Andrew Radabaugh of Midlothian, TX; also surviving are her brothers, Travis Thacker and his wife Eva of Anmoore; and Brandon Thacker and his companion Heather of Clarksburg; her father-in-law, Donald Ray Radabaugh; her brother-in-law, Donald Ray Radabaugh II and his wife Kristi, who was Frankie's best friend, all of Midlothian, TX; sister-in-law, Tracey Long of PA; her nephews, Justin Radabaugh of Midlothian, TX; Donald Ray Radabaugh III of Hepzibah; Brandon Beach of Weatherford, TX; and Lathe Parrish; and her niece, KloeeThacker, both of Clarksburg. Frankie is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Robert Freudeman and his wife Linda of Sunrise, FL; Gary Freudeman and his companion Beth; Cindy Meadows and her husband Danny, all of Akron, OH; Lynn White and her husband Grover of Byron, GA; Norma Shay and her husband Blake of Grafton; and Laura Luchuck and her husband Ronald of Wallace; as well as several beloved cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Larry Freudeman; and her maternal grandparents, Norman and Patricia Thacker. Frankie loved her family above all else. Especially her son, Jason. Frankie was known, by her family, to eagerly await Christmas time each year. She just couldn't wait to decorate, cook, buy gifts, and watch her favorite Christmas movies. She also enjoyed feeding hummingbirds at her home. Friends will be received at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Friday from 2-8pm.
