Segundo Sabangan Junio (Ondong) of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2024 at the age of 88. He was born on March 29, 1935 in Bayambang, Pangasinan Philippines. He enlisted in the Philippine Marines until his selection to earn his Civil Engineering degree from Mapua Institute of Technology and become an Engineer. He would later earn his Masters Degree in Education and School Administration from the University of Guam, becoming an Educator and Vice Principal until his retirement in 1995. He was an avid runner, participating in numerous races on Guam and Virginia, to include multiple marathons. He was also a volunteer Assistant Scoutmaster in his children’s Boy Scouts program. He is preceded in death by his Father – Daniel; Mother – Maria; Daughter – Filipinas; Brothers – Luis, Fortunato, and Selvino; Sisters – Mercedez, Anastacia, and Anselma. He is survived by his wife Valentina; son Dimasalang (DJ) and wife Patty (grandson Christopher and wife Melissa – great granddaughters Lyla, Halle, and Summer; grandson Andrew and wife Jessie); son Dwight and wife Jean (granddaughters Kia and Shae); son Dean and wife Diana (granddaughter Deeanna). Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St Joseph, Husband of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Las Vegas, Nevada on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 10:00 AM.

Raquel (Rachel) Amanda Esquivel-Poore, age 53 of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully in her home on February 14, 2024, after a long battle with Diabetes/Kidney Failure. Rachel was born on April 11, 1970, to Armando (deceased) and Manuela Esquivel in Mason City, Iowa. After graduating from high school, she moved to Boston, Massachusetts. She gained employment as a childcare aide where she met her lifelong friends, Maria “Gabby” Gibson and Mia Luck. Rachel met Christopher C. Poore in Branson, Missouri. They were married on January 17, 1998 until Rachel’s passing. Although they did not have children, Rachel was a loving aunt to her niece, nephews and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Rachel enjoyed life to its fullest celebrating special occasions with friends and family. She especially enjoyed traveling, attending cultural festivals, playing board games, researching family genealogy and spending time with her cats. Rachel was predeceased by her father, Armando Esquivel, sister, Grace Esquivel and baby brother, Armando Esquivel, Jr. She is survived by her husband Chris Poore of Las Vegas, Nevada; her mother, Manuela Esquivel, sisters, Irma Toles and Hope Esquivel-Rosenberg and brother, Edward Esquivel all of Branson, and her brother Mickey (Eloy) Esquivel of Mason City, IA. Mass Intention will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 203 Vaughn Rd, Branson, Missouri on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 9:00 am Central Time. A memorial service and time of visitation will be held at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, 1638 E. State Hwy 76, Branson, Missouri on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
