"Barbara Ann Raymore, 75, of Markleville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on the evening of May 8, 2023, after a lengthy illness. By her beside at her passing were her loving family members, husband, Pete; son, Clint (girlfriend, Natalie); and daughter, Missy (husband, Mark). Barb was born in Anderson, where she resided until she and Pete moved to Markleville three years after their marriage. She was a devout Christian and attended St. Mary\u0027s school where she was proud to have been a member of their final graduating class of 1966. After her graduation, she attended Indiana Business College which earned her a job at Lampco Federal Union where she worked for six years. After the birth of their son, Barb\u0027s self-giving nature was clearly evident when she elected to leave her job that she dearly loved to stay at home and raise her two children. Her loving and caring nature provided for an extremely close-knit and respected family. Barb was instrumental in the success of the family photography business that she and Pete owned for 30 years. Her office skills and her love for people were an integral part of its longevity. Barb was a sports enthusiast and skilled athlete as well. She was a member of the girl\u0027s softball team that captured the park league city championship in her teenage years. She was also an exceptional bowler and a very formidable golfer, which was undoubtedly her favorite sport. Barb loved the outdoors. Gardening, plating flowers, and walking on the trails were some of her favorite things to do. She also enjoyed all the camping trips with her children growing up, and later with her grandchildren. She was an extremely caring person and was always there for family members or others in their time of need. This special trait was once again evident when she become a caregiver for two family members for a period of four years. Barb was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church where she served as a member of the choir, worked in the school cafeteria, and was a Eucharistic minister up until the time of her illness. Her love for the Lord was always her greatest attribute. Barb was a very special person and a devoted wife, mom, and grandma and will be missed tremendously by all who knew her and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Marian Arnold; brothers-in-law, George Gordon and Buster Walker; nephew, Shain Arnold; and niece, Holly Arnold. She leaves to cherish her lasting memories, husband of 52 years, Pete; son, Clint and girlfriend Natalie Hannaford, and her children, Beck and Hattie; daughter, Missy and her husband, Mark; and grandchildren, Jacob, Alli, and Drew. Also, surviving are her siblings, Sandy Gordon, Steve Arnold, Jane Cooper and husband Scotty, Sue Walker, Greg Arnold and wife Missy, Marcia Saunders and husband Russ, and Nancy Arnold, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special thank you to hospice nurses Kim, Amanda, Val, and Keely for all their hard work, love, and compassion. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Loose Funeral Homes \u0026amp; Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St. , Anderson, IN 46013. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 12, 2023, 11:00 am, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 2801 Lincoln St. , Anderson, IN 46016, with Rev. Tom Metzger officiating.
