However, it was in the realm of high school theater in Mount Vernon, NY, where he truly found his calling. Ed thrived in his element, orchestrating shows and leaving a lasting impact on the students he taught. Above all, Ed cherished his family. Despite her health challenges limiting her expressions of that love. Diana's love for her children burned brightly, an intense flame that illuminated their lives. Her conversations were often filled with pride for her daughter, Monica, constantly praising her accomplishments and expressing her boundless love. Diana's ultimate goal was for her children to understand the depth and intensity of her love for them, despite her health constraining her ability to manifest it as fully as she wished. Her mother, Mabel, stood as her unwavering champion. Their regular lunch dates and heartfelt conversations were moments Diana yearned to prolong indefinitely. Each interaction was a cherished gem she desired to enjoy forever. Her husband, Enri Orozco, together shared 17 years of life. Their love has been inseparable upon meeting. Her longing to spend more time with her family fueled her tireless efforts to regain her health, striving relentlessly for the chance to create lasting memories with those she held most dear. Despite grappling with pain, Diana's resilience shined brightly. Her infectious laughter and ever-present smile uplifted those around her. Lora Ann Paglia, born on March 20 th , 1963 in New York, passed at age sixty on November 13 th , 2023 after a long fight of end stage liver and kidney failure. Lora is survived by her daughter, Tina Marie Rebecca LaChiana, and her son, Michael Joseph Duffin III. Lora had many passions in life, one being plants. She would often revive other people's plants if she noticed they were in need (mainly her daughter Tina's plants). She also held a passion for Betty Boop as well as anything leopard or zebra print. Lora was known for being extremely organized, as well as very put together. She always made sure to look her best, even when she was struggling. However, Lora's strongest passion in life (other than her children) was caring for others, leading her to pursue a career in healthcare. Lora spent much of her young adult life volunteering as a candy striper. She followed her passion by becoming a licensed practical nurse and had plans to continue her education and become a registered nurse. However, due to her medical conditions, Lora was unable to further her career. This didn't stop Lora from continuing her passion for helping others in any way she could. Although her career as a LPN was cut short, she continued her passion by helping as many people as possible while she was ill. Lora was always ready and willing to help when anyone needed it, but especially when it came to her loved ones. She was a very generous and compassionate person, wanting nothing more than to bring a bit of joy into others lives. She would often bring gifts to her drivers and aides while she was ill. Inspired by his mother's compassion and dedication, Michael followed in her footsteps and became a nurse himself, which made Lora beyond proud of him. Lora was known for being a very goofy person. She would often make jokes in order to show that life was not as serious as everyone thought. You would always find her doing something silly or trying to make others laugh. She had a kindness in her smile that could light up a room and anyone who witnessed her smile was touched by the kindness and compassion shown in her eyes. She will greatly be missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Lora's legacy of kindness and compassion towards others continues to live on through her son and daughter, whom she loved more than anything in this world. May her memory live on and the impact she had on those she cared for be a source of comfort and inspiration. ( I love you more than the world and the world never ends)Show more

Diane Walker

Diane Walker

Age - 82

December 5, 2023

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our amazing mother, Diane Walker, on December 3, 2023. She was 82. Diane was a Brooklyn woman through and through, more comfortable traversing the concrete jungle she grew up in over the manicured lawns of Long Island. It was in Brooklyn she raised her girls: Kathleen, Donna, and Jennifer. She was our "Activity Director" - always improvising on a moment's notice to Plumb Beach, Sonny Collaros, Nellie Bly, Manhattan, or whatever spontaneous adventure she could conjure to entertain us. Somehow, that unpredictable spirit grew when her grandchildren were born. They were her treasure. We loved to watch her Line Dance through the house, and negotiate the price of toy's for the grandkids from five dollars to fifty cents. The house came alive when she played Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond. When she wasn't in motion, she was sitting on the sofa with her beloved yorkie, Elvis. Though it breaks our hearts to see her go, we take comfort that her unstoppable resolve is rounding up restless spirits on the dance floor for a night of Line Dancing, and forming a pub choir to her favorite song, "Sweet Caroline. " Good times never seemed so good. Diane is survived by her loving girls Kathleen Walker, Donna Beza (Steve), and Jennifer Lauro (Joe). Cherished grandchildren Korinne, Danielle, Jacqueline, Matthew, DiAnna, and Giovanni. Adored by her brother Ferdinand Zoccoli (Ginny), and the late Rachel Ventresa (Julio).Show more
