Barbara Y. "Barbie" Jones, 88, of Vienna, WV passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 at her residence. She was born August 10, 1935 in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Lee and Marie Watson Young. Barbie had previously worked at Mt. State Steel and Corning Glass and was co-owner of Parkersburg Pattern, with her husband Ted, for over 20 years. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, Elizabeth United Methodist Church, Conway United Methodist Church in Florida and Lubeck Community Baptist Church. She loved serving others and was an active member of the Parkersburg Women's Club. Being an only child, Barbie told everyone that she prayed constantly for a big family. The following is an example that proves prayer works. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Fred E. "Ted" Jones; children, Pam Clevenger (Dan) and their children, Aimee Morrison and Julie Davis (Eric), Terry Crislip (Pam) and their children, Chad Crislip (Mandy) and Bryan Crislip (Cheyanne), and Joe Crislip (Diana) and their children, Meredith Stewart (Derek) and Allison McMurray (Josh); son-in-law, Mike Ayers and his children, Kyle Ayers and Kayla Ayers (Kara); special daughter, Phyllis Davis - Moore; step-children, Todd Jones (Cheryl) and their children, Christopher Jones (Shelly) and Amanda Brasington (Jamie), Betsy Utt (Scott) and their children, Danielle Brookover (Josh), Elizabeth Horton (Marlene Masalko), Rebekah Neff (Krys), and Vanassa Utt (Mark Harris) and many great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Barbie was preceded in death by her daughter, Luann Ayers. Services will be held 11:00 am Friday, October 13, 2023 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St, South Parkersburg with Pastor Mark Houser officiating. Interment will follow at the K of P Cemetery, Elizabeth, WV. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lu-Ve Foundation, P. O. Box 1762 Parkersburg, WV 26102 in memory of Barbie. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home is honored to serve the Jones family.

Judith Anne (Woodyard) Leep, beloved wife of John Hugh Leep of Vienna, WV, passed into glory on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. She was born on March 14, 1939, the youngest daughter of Richard L Woodyard and Reta Taylor Woodyard. On January 31, 1959, she married the love of her life, John Hugh Leep. Judy taught and nurtured hundreds of children in her 30 years as a preschool teacher at Sunrise Preschool in Vienna, WV. She was an active and devoted lifelong member of Wayside United Methodist Church. She will be missed by all who were blessed by her generous spirit and kindness. Surviving in addition to her husband are her sons: John H Leep II (Karena), Jay R Leep (Heidi), and Jedd F Leep (Tellie). Granddaughters: Stacy Brookover (Cody), Brittany Barnes (Jerrell), Stephanie Leep (Alex), Dr Sarah Leep and Kristin Leep. Great-Grandchildren: Levi Brookover, Emiko Barnes and Abraham Vaughan. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Reta Woodyard, sisters Sally Ware and Mary Louise Pflug and brothers Richard Woodyard Jr and Gordon Woodyard, and grandson Cole Anthony Leep. Funeral services will be Monday 11AM at the Wayside United Methodist Church, Vienna with Reverend Jeremy Daniels officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2-5PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg and one hour prior to services at the church. David G. Lyons, 83, of Vienna, WV died Tuesday November 7, 2023 at his home. He was born in Wood County a son of the late Albert Clayton and Bertha Mae (Biles) Lyons. As an entrepreneur he owned many businesses in the area over the years including those in the food entertainment industry as well as a car dealership. Early in his career he was the head of food and beverage service at the historic Chancellor Hotel. As a young man he was the lead singer for the band Dave Lyons and the Accents. He was an active member of North Parkersburg Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and enjoyed singing in the choir - even playing Santa! Dave was an outstanding baseball player and played for the Parkersburg Independence fast-pitch softball team. He was avid sports fan, loved playing golf (especially in the Senior League at Worthington Golf Course), meeting his friends for lunch, reading (especially Westerns) and later in life enjoyed his time at the fitness center. He loved his animals, never met a stranger and his family was his pride and joy. He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years Sue (Hamrick) Lyons; four children David Emerich (Joanna) of Vienna, Renee Sayre (Chuck) of Vienna, Shonna Merrick (Gregory) of Sarasota, FL, and Shane Lyons (Emily) of Tuscaloosa, AL; nine grandchildren Kristian Emerich (Jenn), Brittany Breeden (Kyle), Brennan Sayre (Tierney), Bryce Sayre, Malik Merrick, Milo Merrick, Cameron David Lyons, Brooke Lyons, and Liam Emerich; five great grandchildren Malia, Kameron, Georgia, Myles, and McKenzie; another great grandchild on the way; and three brothers Douglas Lyons (Sylvia), Thomas Lyons (Helen), and Barry Lyons (Cindy). In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Clayton Lyons; two sisters Dorothy Hicks and Bonnie Cheuvront, an infant sister, and a daughter-in-law Kimberly Messerian Lyons. David Karl Pearson, 78, of Vienna WV, passed away Monday, October 23, 2023. He was born in Parkersburg, a son of the late Robert R. Pearson, Sr. and Lillian M. (Horner) Pearson. He attended Massanutten Military Academy, Woodstock, VA, was a graduate of PHS, and Columbus OH Technical School. He was a Lear Jet technician at Executive Jet now Net Jets, at John Glenn Airport in Columbus OH. He was formerly employed at Teknetix of Parkersburg. As a US Air Force Vietnam era veteran, he served and lived all over the world. He was stationed at the Ubon Royal Thai AFB, Thailand, as a F4 Phantom jet mechanic during Operation Bolo 1966-1967, during the Vietnam war. He was also stationed at Eglin AFB and Homestead AFB in Florida during his tour of duty. Dave loved his cats, Toby and Misty. He was from a car-loving family. Dave always had cool cars. . . Chevelles, a Triumph, an old 60's Porsche Boxster,an '86 Suzuki Samuari, an old XKE Jaguar, a Karmann Ghia convertible, just to name of few. He was preceded in death by his parents of Parkersburg and brother Robert R. Pearson, Jr. ,of St. Augustine FL. He is survived by two sisters Linda Dally and Ingrid Pearson McKinney, of Vienna and brother-in-law David McKinney, nieces, Karan Dally, Oceanside, CA; Kirstan Roush, Helena, MT; Valerie Francois, St. Augustine, FL; nephew, Greg Pearson of Culloden, WV; special aunt Katherine Horner Granfield of Oxford, GA and numerous cousins. Dave was a member of the First Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held at the First Lutheran Church at a later date. Eva Hart Woodward, 100, of Vienna, WV, departed this life on September 18, 2023 at Belpre Landing Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was born in Jackson County, WV on February 14, 1923, daughter of the late Marcellus and Minnie Lovegrove Hart. Eva graduated from Ripley High School and was a member of Vienna Baptist Church. She was a member of the Home Builders Sunday School Class, The Crafters, the Senior Volunteer Program, and member of the Hostess Board for several years. She loved working in the kitchen and helping with Bible School. She belonged to the Vienna Senior Citizens and at one time was a volunteer at the former Camden Clark Hospital. She is survived by her daughters Rebecca Ann Wendelken (David) of Fayetteville, NC, Judith Beth Salsbery of Kingman, AZ, sons James Jeffery Woodward (Sue) of Vienna, Thomas Matthew Woodward of Sapphire, NC, grandchildren Benjamin James Woodward, John E. Bailey, Alicia Bailey, Clarissa Jo Ahouse, great grandchildren Alexander Bailey, Griffen Bailey and Eva Bailey and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James L. Woodward, sisters Francis Reed, Ruby Taylor, Lily Ruth Rhodes, Velma Cobb and Nellie Richards and two brothers Kenneth R. Hart and William Marcellus Hart. Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Bill Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 5 - 8 on Tuesday and for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donation be made to the Vienna Baptist Hostess Board or Vienna Baptist Bible School.
