Barbara Hanson Obituary

Barbara Constance Hanson was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She left this world for a better place on October 1, 2023, at the age of 68. She was born to Henrietta Pittis-Davis and Donald Hanson on October 20, 1954, and had two children Billy and Karen. Barbara earned a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Advertising and retired from Pinellas Country Schools doing something she loved, teaching. Barbara most enjoyed spending time creating heart-felt and quirky artwork, almost as much as she loved spending time with her grandchildren Stella and Amelia. Her life was filled with color and adventure whether it be attending Olympic hockey games, completing triathlons, floating in the water, designing Christmas cards, fishing with family, giving everyone and everything fun nicknames, or watching her favorite superhero movies. A Viewing is scheduled on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 4 pm to 6 pm followed by a Service at 6 pm at Anderson-McQueen on the corner of 22nd Avenue North and 9th Street in St. Petersburg.
