David Mccorkle

Age - 39

December 6, 2023

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of David Michael McCorkle, 39, beloved father, son, brother, and friend. David departed this world on December 3, 2023, in Panama City, Florida surrounded by his family. Born on June 10, 1984, David brought joy, humor, and occasional mischief into the lives of those around him. David had an exceptional sense of humor that could light up any room. His infectious laughter and quick wit brought joy to those around him, turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories. Whether sharing a joke, a funny story, or simply flashing his trademark smile, David had a unique ability to bring happiness to everyone in his presence. He kept his family and friends in stitches with his antics. He also kept their bellies full with his love of cooking. David was a true foodie and could turn the simple act of cooking (and eating) into an art form. David was a talented baseball player, avid fisherman, and devoted hunter. David found solace and joy in the great outdoors. His absolute favorite place to be was in a duck blind at sunrise waiting on the sound of whistling wings. The thrill of the hunt and the beauty of nature were sources of inspiration and peace for him, and his love for the sport became a cherished bond shared with family and friends. In addition to his love for the outdoors and his captivating sense of humor, David was a skilled professional who earned his HVAC license. His dedication and expertise in the field made him a respected and valued member of his community. David took pride in his work, always striving for excellence and ensuring the comfort of those he served. At the time of his death, David was employed by Emerald Coast Heating and Air, where he was affectionately known as "Big Boy. "Standing tall and strong, David had a presence that could command attention, yet his big heart always shined through. If you were friends with David, you did not doubt he loved you. David met his greatest love in 2012 when his daughter, Anna Kate, was born. As we mourn the loss of David, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives, the laughter he shared, and the love he freely gave. May we find peace in the knowledge that his spirit will forever be a part of the great outdoors he cherished and the laughter he inspired. David is survived by his loving parents Vickie and Billy Hines and Mike and Marsha McCorkle, his daughter Anna Kate McCorkle, sister Melanie Ellwanger (Jamie), sister Hannah Hines, nephew Elijah Ellwanger, stepsiblings Amanda Almand (Clint), Dexter Boyce (Niki), Cameron Hines, Kylie Hines (Debbie), Lesley Hines, his faithful furry companion Mr. Humphries, and many other special friends and family members that loved him deeply. In place of flowers, donations can be made to the Spring Hill Activity Fund for the baseball, fishing, and trap teams. Checks can be made to Spring Hill School, 633 Spring Lake Rd. , Hope, AR 71801.
