Barbara A. (Boland) Doren, 90, of Millis, MA, passed away, Friday, September 8, 2023, at the Blackstone Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center, Whitinsville, MA. She was the wife of the late William J. Doren Jr. Born in East Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late John and Celia (MacDonald) Boland. Barbara was a long time member of the St. James Women's Guild and enjoyed crocheting and crafting. She is survived by a son, Robert M. Doren and his wife Deborah of Millis, MA, two grandchildren, Maureen and Caitlin and her husband George, and a great granddaughter, Olivia. She was also the mother of the late William F. Doren, and sister of the late Thomas Boland, John Boland, James Boland, Steve Boland, Mary Blake and Margaret Boland. Visiting hours in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. , NATICK COMMON, on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 9:00-10:00 AM. Benson Mbugua Hinga, a loving son and brother, died on November 27, 2023 at the age of 39 while traveling through San Diego. Benson is survived by his parents and younger brother, Kamenya Hinga. He is also survived by his niece Jazmine Hinga and nephew Zayne Hinga. Benson was born in Massachusetts on December 20, 1983 to Ben and Lucy Mbugua. He graduated from Medfield High School in 2002 and attended Wentworth Institute of Technology thereafter. Over the years Benson lived in Boston, California, New York, and Chicago. He always sought new adventures and traveling provided him with meaningful experiences and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Before his untimely passing, Benson embarked on a cross country road trip to from Chicago to Tijuana, Mexico. During these last few weeks, he did what he loved most - travel. His spontaneity and adventurous spirit accompanied by his kind and compassionate heart will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Doris E. Mackun, 91, of Natick, MA, passed away, Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Carlyle House in Framingham, MA. Born in Tewksbury, MA, she lived in Wellesley with the Goodman family for 45 years before moving to Natick 25 years ago. Doris loved the color purple, arts, crafts, crocheting gifts for people, baking and bowling. She loved to get dressed up for all of the holidays. Above all Doris loved having fun, being happy and making everyone around her happy. She will be missed by the large loving Goodman family and friends near and far. Daniel V. Gilbert, 49, of Natick, MA, passed away suddenly, Friday, December 1, 2023, at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, MA. Born in Natick, MA, he was the son of Jon S. Gilbert of Plymouth, MA, and the late Elizabeth (Shields) Gilbert. Daniel had worked as the dispatcher at Natick Cab and Tommys Taxi for over 20 years. He enjoyed golf, watching football games with his brother Chris, country rock music, and playing the slots at Foxwoods Casino. Besides his father, he is survived by his step-mother, Maureen (McElhenny) Gilbert of Plymouth, MA, two brothers, Christopher E. Gilbert of Natick, MA, and Shawn S. Stacy Sanger Queen of Old Town, Florida, formerly of Natick, MA passed away peacefully, after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Ronald D. Queen and E. Gale (Swanson) Queen. Stacy leaves behind her brother Douglas Queen of Natick and his wife Kerrie, niece Ashley Ashlock of Marblehead, MA and her husband Tristan, nephew Nicholas Queen of Stow, MA and his wife Caroline, her life-long friend, Renee Vachon Thisse, her Aunt Lyn Swanson, many cousins, and friends all who loved her. Stacy grew up in Natick and graduated from Natick High School. Stacy was an intelligent, kind-hearted person with a great sense of humor. She loved any kind of animal and had a special way with them. She was a great "mom" to her many pets over the years and would welcome any stray into the mix. She held numerous jobs throughout the years, but her favorite was working with Baypath Humane Society. Stacy was a talented musician. She enjoyed many years singing and playing guitar in local bands while she was living in MA. She was also a talented and creative faux painter. She started her own faux painting business while in Florida. Although a resident of Florida for several years, she always considered Massachusetts her home and hoped to get back here someday. Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rosaria (Guarini) DeRienzo. Lena had worked for many years as a caterer for Goodwin Proctor. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, cooking, walking, but most of all spending time with her family. Lena was an avid Patriots fan and watched every game. She is survived by a son, William Zagarella and his wife Debby of Peterborough, NH, a daughter, Deborah L. Navoni and her husband James of Northboro, MA, a brother, Victor DeRienzo of Jacksonville, FL, two sisters, Netta DeWart of Saugus, MA, and Lucy DeWart of Saugus, MA, and two grandchildren, Andrew and Jamie Navoni. Robert Laurence Hubbard, 88, of Natick, MA, passed away, Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Boston. He was the husband of the late Jeanne C. (Rice) Hubbard. Born in Norwood, MA, he was the son of the late Laurence C. and Lois L. (Senter) Hubbard. Robert graduated from Natick High School in 1953, where he was a member of the football team. Robert had worked as a printed circuit board designer for Raytheon and Data General for more than 25 years, retiring in 1993. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army where he spent two years stationed in Germany, during the Korean war. He enjoyed attending his child's and grandchildren's sporting events, hiking, cross country camping trips, jogging, even running the Boston Marathon. He had a passion for bowling and participated in local leagues throughout his life. He is survived by a son, Christopher M. Hubbard and his wife Sarah of Natick, MA, three grandchildren, Jack, Sam and Beatrix and his companion, Nancy Oney of Northboro, MA. He was also the brother of the late Donald A. Hubbard. Barbara Jeanne (Pollard) Popp, 55, of Natick, MA, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Barbara (Armstrong) Pollard. She was the loving wife of Kenneth J. Popp for 26 years. She is survived by her pride and joy, her son, Justin, and her daughter, Samantha both of Natick. She is also survived by her two sisters, Brenda Fahey of Marshfield, MA and Susan Pollard-Doucette of Nashua, NH. She is endlessly adored by in-laws and countless nieces and nephews. Barbara proudly served as the compliance coordinator at Babson College for the last 7 years where she was loved by all. Her family shares fond memories of family vacations to some of her favorite places, which include Disney World, Cape Cod, and Bermuda. She loved to cook, especially during the Christmas Season, as this was her favorite time of year. But most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her children and husband. Marion E Flood, 86 of Natick died Nov. 13, 2023 with family by her side. The only child of the late Marion (Lister) and Harry Flood of Wellesley. Growing up, Marion was very close with her late Natick relatives: Uncle & Aunt Thomas and Irene (Lister) McGee and their children Irene Pauplis and Dorothy Deslongchamps. Marion worked as an Admin. Secretary for the Natick Labs for 25 years. She traveled visiting dear friends, wrote a children's story and loved family and social events. Marion was friendly and caring towards all; she will be missed by many, especially all her caring friends up at Cedar Gardens. Marion is survived locally by her cousin Irene's children: Mark, Steve, Eric, Neil, Greg and Karl Pauplis. Lino Anthony Bordi of Virginia Beach, VA formerly Dix Hills, NY passed away surrounded by the love of his family on November 18, 2023. He was 82 years old. Beloved husband of Ginny (Marinelli) Bordi. Devoted father of Michael Bordi (Jessica) of Virginia Beach, VA and Leanne Sarro (Joseph) of Sudbury, MA. Loving grandfather of Luke, Matthew, Jack Sarro; Lino and Bennett Bordi. Cherished brother of Anthony Bordi Jr. of New York and the late Frank Bordi. Son of the late Antonio and Maria (Corvi) Bordi. Lino will always be remembered as an incredible husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend. If you knew Lino, you loved him and he probably loved you too. He took pride in his family, always their biggest cheerleader. He will be missed so much. Lino met the love of his life, Ginny, at Pan Am in 1968. They have been happily married for 53 years. Lino's charismatic personality, strong work ethic, and determination to succeed led him to become a successful business owner. He became a legacy distributor at Boar's Head Provisions since 1982- paving the way for future generations for his family. He truly lived life to the fullest. He knew how to make people laugh and smile. He was the master at gathering family and friends together and was always the life of the party. He enjoyed playing baseball, racquetball, golf, bocce, bowling but poker was his main game. Through the years, he demonstrated his strength and resiliency by fighting one illness after another inspiring his children every day with his incredible strength, unselfishness, and unconditional love. He was a devoted Papa to his five grandsons; he enjoyed nothing more than spending quality time with them and cheering them on. He considered them his greatest blessings.
