Stanley Jankowski

Stanley Carl Jankowski of Mt Sinai, New York, took his final flight home on November 14, 2023. He lived a rich 90 years and is survived by his wife Lucille (married 60 years), daughters Jeanine Viscount (Nick), Michele Jankowski (Brian), son Bruce Stephan (Joan), and granddaughter Jordan Viscount. He was preceded in death by his parents Julia and Ben Jankowski and sister Dorothy Jankowski. Stanley attended LaSalle Academy in NYC and Spartan School of Aeronautics in Oklahoma. He was an airline mechanic with Delta Airlines until his retirement as a chief mechanic after 33 years, at the age of 58. In his free time and after his retirement, Stanley enjoyed his family, traveling with his wife, fishing, hunting, and his time with friends at the Mt Sinai Yacht Club. A Catholic service will be held at 10AM on Saturday, November 18th, at St. Louis de Montfort, located at 75 New York Ave, Sound Beach, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to a charitable organization of your choice. May Stanley Carl Jankowski rest in peace.Show more

John P. Quinn passed away peacefully on November 12, 2023 at the age of 81 years. He is predeceased by his parents John (Jack) and Katherine as well as his sister, Rose. He is survived by his wife Ruth; his children Doreen (John), Maryellen (John), and Mike (Kristy); his grandchildren Megan, Michael, Thomas, Katherine, Joey, Emma, Charlie, Mikayla, and Jessica; and his nieces, nephews, neighbors, and brothers in the FDNY and the Miller Place Fire Department. John worked for the NYPD (1965-1970) and FDNY (1970-1995). He served in The United States Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal (1960-1964) and for the Miller Place Fire Department (since 1970), where he additionally served as Chief from 2005 to 2006. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and community.Show more

Thomas A. MacCarthy was born June 2nd, 1970 in Wimbledon, England to Guadalupe and Gerald MacCarthy. He resided in East Setauket with his loving wife, Alejandra Alvarez-Morales. Thomas was a loving father to Gabriel and Lucia and he was a caring brother to John Philip and his wife Cristina. He is missed by his beloved aunts and uncles John, Mary, Annie and Tom and all his cousins. He was very loved by his mother-in-law, Miriam Morales, and Brother-in-law Carlos Alvarez and his wife Carla and by his nephews Claudio and Gonzalo. He is missed by his uncle John and his cousin Jane. He was a dedicated and loved professor at Stony Brook University that has touched many lives. Thomas passed away on November 3 , 2023 in East Setauket, NY.
