On June 18, 2022, Barbara Kay Blanchard took her last cruise on this earth to be with her Lord and Savior. Barbara was born January 23, to Willard and Sally Logsdon in Portland, Oregon. The family moved to Washington when she was very young. She attended Toppenish High School, where she met the love of her life. That's when she took her first cruise, to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, to elope with Virgil Blanchard on March 22, 1962. Virgil and Barbara celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year by reaffirming their love with the renewal of their vows. As a young adult, Barbara worked at the Baily's Coat Factory, sorted fruit in the warehouses, and the local Railroad Company. She loved music. She played the accordion, piano and was the first chair clarinet throughout her school days. She was thrilled to able to sing one more time at the ordination ceremony for the Nazarene pastors this year. Barbara was ordained into the ministry as a Nazarene Minister on April 19, 2009. Barbara is survived by her husband, Virgil, of Yakima, their children, Kelly (Janice) Blanchard, of Yakima, Washington, Todd (Erin) of Yelm, Washington, Brenda Headrick, of Turpin, Oklahoma, and Cherie Blanchard, of Yakima, Washington, daughter-in-law, Marcie Blanchard of Yakima, Washington, her grandchildren, Chris (Lacey) Blanchard, Ann Blanchard, Lucas (Desiray) Blanchard, Matthew Blanchard, all of Yakima, WA, Emmamarie (Dalton) Allen, of Yelm, Washington, Chase (Haley) Scoggin, of Townsend, Montana, Josh Royse, of the universe, Josiah (Theresa) Royse, of Guymon, Oklahoma, Brianna Headrick, of Turpin, Oklahoma and Zane Headrick of Liberal, Kansas, her great-grandchildren, Collin and Layla Blanchard, Bentley and Paisley Blanchard, Kenslie Allen, Rebecca, Rosanna, and Miranda Royse.
