Audrey J. Corjulo passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023 in her home in Killingworth, CT. Audrey was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. She was married to the late Robert Joseph Corjulo on September 10, 1960 until his passing on November 19, 1990. They raised their four children in Spring Valley, NY, and moved to Southington, CT in 1977. Audrey moved to Killingworth, CT in 2013. Audrey was a devout member of the Mary Our Queen Church choir and St. Lawrence Church choir in Killingworth, CT. She also enjoyed her pets, playing Mahjong with her friends and neighbors, Sunday family dinners, and gardening. Audrey was the loving mother of Andrew, Michael (Diane), Robert (Marlene), and Jeanmarie (Bruce, predeceased); and the cherished grandmother of Heather (Chris), Amanda, Danielle (Matthew), Brandon (Kaylie), Michael (Kim), and Matthew (Melissa); and her great-grandchildren Alexia, Jason, Josephine, Miller, Mallory, and Maddox. She is survived by her brother, John Slater (Ann) and sister-in-law, Geri Shane. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11a. m. on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St. , Plantsville. Please meet directly at church. Thomas R. Theriault, 96, of Southington, CT, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at HOCC at New Britain. He was the beloved husband of Wanda (Sroka)Theriault, who predeceased him in 1983. Thomas was born on March 23, 1927 in Milldale, CT to the late Charles and Florence (Clark) Theriault and had been a lifelong Southington resident. Tom proudly served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. He worked for the Southington Highway Department, retiring after 37 years of service. He was a longtime parishioner at St. Dominic’s Church in Southington and a member of the American Legion, Kiltonic Post 72. Thomas is survived by his son, John Theriault of East Haven, one brother, James Theriault and his wife Anne of Southington, one sister, Joan King of Glastonbury, brother-in-law, Donald Dorman of Forestville, sister-in-law, Josephine Theriault of Plantsville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Wanda, Thomas was predeceased by his daughter, Debra Pelletier, his son, Gary Theriault, 3 brothers: Charles Theriault (Ginny), Burton Theriault and Francis Theriault (Joan) and one sister, June Dorman. Jeanne E. (Lacasse) Sjostedt, 87, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late David A. Sjostedt for 65 years. Born on June 1, 1936 in Southbridge, MA to the late Armand and Marie Anne (Roy) Lacasse, she has been a longtime Southington resident. Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Laurie McCarty (David), her son, Michael Sjostedt, and her son-in-law, David Kemmeur. She was predeceased by her eldest daughter, Louise Kemmeur. Jeanne is also survived by three grandchildren, Andrew Kemmeur (Jessica), Emily Hartke (Steven), and Amanda Sheffler (Dylan) and two great-grandchildren, Owen and Adelynn Kemmeur. She is also survived by her brother, Raymond Lacasse (Harriet), 2 sisters, Madeleine Lamothe and Estelle Rooney (Howard) and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and daughter, Jeanne was predeceased by one sister, Anita Cuikay and her husband Robert, as well as her niece and goddaughter, Marian Cuikay. Jeanne was a parishioner at St. Dominic’s Church in Southington and previously attended St. Aloysius Church for many years, where she co-led a charismatic prayer group with her late husband David for 20 years. Jeanne loved music and had a varied collection of recorded music, as well as sheet music for piano. She played the piano well and had a beautiful singing voice. In addition, she sewed well, and made many garments for herself and her daughters. She also sewed many of the curtains for the home. Jeanne and David were able money managers and were able to pay for their family’s needs and show benevolence to many. With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our adored mother and grandmother, Phyllis (Buczko) Fryzel, 95, of Southington, Connecticut. Phyllis passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on November 11, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Edwin Fryzel for 38 years. Phyllis was born on July 13, 1928 in Bristol, Connecticut to the late Michael and Mary (Osenkowski) Buczko and had been a longtime Southington resident. Phyllis’ early years were filled with the simple joys of music and the thrill of ice skating at Page Park. She enthusiastically pursued her artistic passion, studying at the School of Fashion Design in Boston where she mastered the art of sewing on her way to becoming a skilled seamstress. She later channeled her entrepreneurial spirit into running her own fabric store, also sharing her love of quilting as an instructor. Phyllis was a longtime parishioner at the Immaculate Conception Church, blending her faith and Polish heritage. She was active in both the Holy Rosary Society and the Immaculate Women’s Club, having led the latter as a past president. Phyllis was a true matriarch whose life was a testament to the power of unconditional love and selfless devotion. She was the cornerstone of our family, offering a boundless love that knit us closer together through every joy and hardship. Her wisdom guided us, her strength inspired us, and her warmth comforted us. She demonstrated a life of kindness, always placing the needs of others above her own. Her legacy of love, generosity, and grace will forever remain in our hearts and memories. Phyllis is survived by three daughters: Phyllis Dinucci and husband Frank of Wilton, Nancy Andres of Southington, and Linda Calvanese and husband Joe of Southington; seven grandchildren: Frank Dinucci (Lindsey), Ted Dinucci (Rebecca), David Andres, Kristina Marino (Brian), Joe Calvanese (Sarah), Mike Calvanese, and Elizabeth Calvanese; and eight great-grandchildren: Olivia, Emalee, William, Meredith, Frankie, Ava, Joey, and Lyla. She is also survived by her sister, Marion Mordarski of Southington, and many nieces and nephews. Nancy (Woodruff) Kannenberg, 87, of the Plantsville section of Southington, CT passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at HOCC, New Britain Campus. Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Kannenberg who predeceased her in 1998. Nancy was born on March 11, 1936 in Roxbury, CT to the late Ralph and Elsie (Smith) Woodruff. Nancy grew up in Roxbury and attended Roxbury and Washington Schools. She attended Oberlin College and earned her Master’s Degree from the University of Connecticut. Nancy worked as a French teacher in Southington Schools and also taught for many years at the Plantsville Congregational Nursery School. Nancy eventually retired from The Hartford Insurance Company. She had strong faith and was an active member of the Plantsville Congregational Church for over 50 years where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a past President of the Church Women United in Southington. Nancy enjoyed volunteering at The Bushnell, CPTV, and Red Cross Blood Drives. Nancy loved to travel and was proud to have visited every continent. She also enjoyed rooting for the UCONN Women’s Basketball team and attended the Final Four every year. She had an amazing network of friends with whom she loved playing cards for the last 50 years. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Cornish and husband Thomas of Southington and her grandson, Michael Cornish of Austin, TX, and several special nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Robert, Nancy was predeceased by her brother, Donald T. Woodruff and sister, Cornelia "Neal" Straiton. Mary (Ludecke) Surveski, 87, of Southington, CT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Southington Care Center. She was the loving wife of Henry W. Surveski for 62 years. Mary was born on November 12, 1936 in Southington to the late Frederick and Agnes (Lehan) Ludecke and had been a lifelong Southington resident. Mary worked at Southington Bank & Trust for many years and then as a Teacher’s Aide in the Southington School System. She loved music and never found a song she couldn’t hum along to. She lived her life selflessly. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her family. She showed up any way she could for them, especially her mother, whom she cared for so she could stay in her own home as long as she could, and her granddaughter whom she adored more than anything. In addition to her husband Henry, Mary is survived by her son, Stephen J. Surveski and her granddaughter, Rachel Surveski, both of Southington, and her sister, Ellen Dlugos of Plantsville. Immacolata Brino, 97, of Schenectady, formerly of Southington, CT passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 22, 2023. She was born and raised in Sant'Agata de'Goti, Italy. In 1966, she immigrated to Southington CT, where she raised her family and worked for JJ Ryan. She moved to Schenectady in 2020. Immacolata loved being outside, where she would garden, take walks, and do yard work. She loved helping others and enjoyed watching Mass, Wheel of Fortune, and movies on the Hallmark Channel. She was predeceased by her parents, Giuseppe and Elisabetta Della Ratta Mauro; her husband, Rinaldo Brino; and her siblings, Clementina, Clemente, Tommaso, Alessandro, Mario, and Vincenzo. Immacolata is survived by her children, Mary (Giovanni) Sgueglia, Gina (John) Ganther, and Pasquale (Linda) Brino; her grandchildren, John (Amy), Lisa, Cristina (Jason), John David, Nicholas, James, and Andrew; her great grandchildren, Gianna, Niara, Alex, Nadia, Chris, Arianna, Aiden; her sister, Genoeffa; and many nieces and nephews. Rodd S. Florian, 54, of Southington, CT passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Born on July 1,1969 in Hartford to David and Honey (Meade) Florian, Rodd grew up in Plantsville, a constant companion to his three brothers, three sisters and many cousins, too numerous to count. He attended local schools, playing little league baseball, midget football and helping his father with construction projects that taught him skills he continued to develop through his landscaping business and building a summer home in Maine where he spent his happiest times. Rodd will be remembered as a man who practiced the art of small acts of kindness: picking flowers for his mother, planting lilies for a sister, taking nieces and nephews fishing, making popsicles for great nieces and nephews. He shared his love of the outdoors during summers in Maine with his large extended family; sighting eagles, messing around in boats and building large bonfires. In addition to his parents, Rodd is survived by five siblings: Lani Florian, Lori Florian, David Florian Jr. , Andrew Florian and wife Nancy and Heidi Florian and wife Maureen Gervais, sister-in-law, Michelle Florian and 11 loving nieces and nephews and 20 great-nieces and great-nephews. Rodd was predeceased by 2 brothers, Mark Florian and Mat Florian, his brother- in-law, Martyn Rouse and his nephew, Nicholas Florian. William Ludecke

William Albert Ludecke, 86, of Southington, CT passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Apple Rehab in Plainville. William was the devoted husband of the late Judith M. (Fitzmorris) Ludecke for 52 years. William was born on September 12, 1937 in Southington to the late Albert and Elizabeth (Thureson) Ludecke and had been a lifelong Southington resident. Bill leaves behind a legacy of love and service to his family and to the entire community of Southington. Bill served as an officer in the Southington Police Department for 31 years, retiring as a Detective. After his retirement, he continued to serve the community by donating thousands of pounds of produce from his garden to Southington Community Services every summer. Bill also owned and operated his own lawn mowing service in Southington for several years. He was fascinated by arrowheads and acquired an extensive collection that will be preserved by the Southington Historical Society for all to enjoy. He was also a talented wood carver and shared his skills by teaching a class at the Calendar House. Bill loved the UCONN Women’s Basketball team and after one winning season, gifted the entire team with beautiful wood carvings, which were graciously accepted by the team members. Bill was also a lover of animals, especially German Shepards, and trained the first K-9 dog for the Southington Police Department. William is survived by 6 children, Laura Kanute, Pamela Lee and her husband Donald, Holly Rosati and her husband Peter, Debra Abate and her husband Joseph, William Ludecke and his wife Lynn and Robert Erickson and his wife Laura and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Gray and husband John of FL and brother, David Ludecke and wife Edwinda of Windham, CT, several nieces and nephews and his beloved furry sidekick, Clyde. In addition to his wife Judy, he was predeceased by his son-in-law, Joel Kanute. Kirt grew up in Southington, lived mostly and in New Britain, with a few stays in Daytona, FL. Growing up Kirt had an adventurous spirit, he enjoyed being outdoors fishing, skiing and riding ATVs. Kirt is survived by his father, Luc J. Collin and wife Diane of Sebring, FL, paternal grandmother, Normande Collin of New Britain, sister, Kimberly Mastromarino and husband Dana of Southington, one brother, Keith Collin and wife Cindy of Wallingford, 13 nieces and nephews and many aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his mother, Kathleen Burns, his wife, Theresa (McCarthy) Collin, one daughter, Kelly A.
