Arvel Mcelroy Obituary

"Arvel James McElroy, age 78, went to sleep in death on Friday, April 21, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 56 (almost 57) years, Donna Sue McElroy; daughter, Pamela Sue (Gary) Nelson; sisters, Nora (Hoyt) Moody and Judy (Terry) Tibbs; mother-in-law, Ann Yates; brother-in-law, Danny (Gail) Yates; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Arvel James McElroy; and father-in-law, Rocky Yates. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and loved and had faith in his loving heavenly Father Jehovah God, and the promises when there will be no more tears, pain, sorrow nor death found in Revelations 21:4. He loved nature, gardening, and animals. A special thanks to Dr. Roxanne Travelute who compassionately helped him many years, and to Dr. Michael Honan. Also thanks to hospice nurse, Cherie Baswell, and others for the special care during this difficult time; and to all the family and friends for all of the thoughts and prayers. He was kind and was very much loved and a source of strength to his family. He will deeply be missed. The love he left behind will be a great legacy that we all aspire to. A memorial service will be held at a later date. "
