Arthur Joseph Keenan, Jr Arthur Joseph Keenan, Jr entered into eternal rest on October 6, 2023 He was born on July 20, 1929 (age 94) and a native of New Orleans He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur J Keenan and Margaret Flynn Keenan, his wife, Jacquelaine Rauch Keenan his twin brother, John Keenan (Fay), Sisters Elaine Summerlin Lyon and RoseMarie Dauzat and his son, Edward Arthur Keenan He is survived by his wife, Marie Kniezan Keenan and his sister, Mary Margaret Martina and his children, Kathleen Keenan, Jeanne Tourres (Jack), Mary Zammit (Alf) and Arthur Keenan III (JoAnn), his grandchildren, Jack (Jay) Tourres (Valerie), Monique Tourres Smith (Cody), Stacy Tourres, Jena Williams (Jordan) Zachary (Z J) Keenan, Jesse Keenan, Edward Keenan, Jr and Aidan Keenan and his great grandchildren, Sophia Thrower, Joshua Thrower, Bailey Tourres, Sydney Tourres, Lillian Smith, Finley Smith, Syrus Keenan and Eloise Williams and a host of nieces and nephews Arthur's joy in life was his Catholic faith, family, working career, golf and cutting grass He graduated from St Aloysius High School and Loyola University with a Bachelor in Business Administration and a major in Accounting (CPA) He served in the U S Navy during the Korean War on a mine sweeper, the USS Toucan He was President of Stratton-Baldwin Co , Inc (Hardware/Floor covering distributor), Executive Vice President and Director for Pelican Homestead Arthur was a member of the Louisiana Society of CPA's, Past President of the New Orleans Chapter of the Financial Executive Institute, Eucharistic Minister for St Philip Neri Parish for more than 40 years, Executive Committee member of the Southern Wholesale Hardware Assoc and Past President of the East Jefferson SERRA Club We wish to express our sincere thanks for the excellent care given by the Saint Anthony's Home and Notre Dame Hospice Relatives and friends are invited to the service at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd in New Orleans on Thursday,, October 12, 2023 Visitation will begin at 11:00 A M followed by Mass at 1:00 P M and burial in the Greenwood Cemetery In Lieu of flowers, please have Masses from St Ann Church, 4940 Meadowdale St , Metairie, LA 70006 or the SERRA Memorial Fund % Larry DeBlieux, 1314 Hesper Ave , Metairie, LA 70005
