Janis Feuge

Janis Feuge

Age - 71

December 7, 2023

Janis Kay Feuge, affectionately known as "Jan," passed away suddenly, Monday morning, December 4, 2023, joining her Heavenly Father. She was born on August 31, 1952, in Silsbee, Texas, to Mavis Lee Harvey Pippin and Henry Washington Pippin, Jr. Jan grew up in Lumberton and graduated with the Class of '70. Though she initially began studying nursing at Lamar University, it soon became clear her true calling lay elsewhere. After college, Jan embarked on a career as professional secretary, working for the school district and in the legal profession. It was her time at Lamar University she met Randy, who would become her true love and best friend. In an effort to impress Jan, on their first date, Randy invited her for a flight in his airplane. Two years later, they exchanged vows at the Lumberton Pentecostal Church. They settled in Orange and built a beautiful life together, raising their two daughters Chanda and Janna. While Jan worked diligently throughout her professional career, her greatest passion was taking care of her family. From that very first date, Randy and Jan continued a 50-year tradition of "flying dates," where they flew all over the State, landing to share dinner or lunch together and then flying back home. She showcased her exceptional talent as a gifted musician by playing the piano and singing for her church, as well as for weddings, funerals, and family gatherings. Spending time with her daughters and their husbands brought Jan immense happiness, especially when she was with her cherished grandchildren. Even in retirement, Jan never ceased to serve others nor stay still; she worked part-time at the Providence-Jones Funeral Home during evenings. She took immense pleasure in accompanying her grandchildren to various places like the library, park or museum. Jan had a green thumb and took great pride in tending to her garden and home. Her warm heart had room for everyone as she embraced people from all walks of life with genuine love. As Jan passed through Heaven's Gate, she was joyfully reunited with her father H. W. "Pip" Pippin and her brother Jimmy Pippin. Jan's memory will be forever cherished by her husband of 50 years, Philip Randall "Randy" Feuge; her two daughters, Chanda and husband Jimmy Gilliam of Lumberton, and Janna and husband Kevin Bisking of Austin; her beloved grandchildren, Gage Gilliam, Mallory Bisking, and Blake Bisking; her mother, Mavis Lee Pippin of Spring; her sister, Donnie and husband Jim McCoy of Spring; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Jan will always be remembered for her warm heart, unwavering love for her family and friends, and her ability to bring joy through music. Filled with compassion and kindness, she touched the lives of all those fortunate enough to have known her. Her spirit will forever live on in our hearts. Family and Friends will gather for visitation at Broussard's Mortuary in Silsbee on Thursday, December 7th from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Following the Visitation, a Celebration of Jan's Life will commence at 2:00 PM, led by Pastor Brandon Pippin. Jan will be laid to rest at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Silsbee. Arrangements and care are entrusted to Elgin Funeral Home in cooperation with Broussard's Mortuary. (c)Broussard's Mortuary 2017-2023 Built ByShow more
