Arlon Griffin Obituary

| | | Arlon Benjamin "Benny" Griffin, son of the late Lester "Baldie" Griffin and Harriett (Grubb) Griffin was born on April 29, 1949 in Grubb Hollow, Missouri and departed this life on May 6, 2023 in Doniphan, Missouri. He had attained the age of seventy-four years and seven days. Benny had resided in Grandin, Missouri for the past six years and was formerly of Herron, Illinois. He was of the Christian faith. He was a retired steeplejack. He enjoyed playing pool and being a jokester. Survivors include his children, Christy Fisher, Shelly Griffin, Trinity Griffin and Melissa Steiger; brothers, Charlie Griffin and Lloyd Griffin; sister, Velma; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other family and friends that mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Griffin; four brothers, Jack Griffin, Bobby Griffin, Jimmy Griffin, Wilson Griffin; one sister, Barbara Hodge. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 6-8 p. m. in the McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren, Missouri. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
