Stephen Chiltern

Stephen Chiltern

Age - 80

December 7, 2023

Stephen Chiltern (or Steve as he generally went by), was born in Brooklyn, close to Ocean Parkway if I remember his telling me correctly, in June of 1943. He was an adoring older brother to Robert, and a devoted son to Frances and Hy. Steve was phenomenal in mathematics, loved the Brooklyn Dodgers, spent summers in the Catskills, taught himself how to play golf at a near pro-level, and play ping pong better than anyone I have ever seen. He attended CUNY Baruch and got into the software and programming field at a terrific time to do so, starting Kinetic Software Systems which ran successfully for over 30 years. He met and married the love of his life Michele while working in White Plains, and the rest as they say. . . is history. Steve was an awesome dad, he was always up for throwing the football around, helping with (math) homework, taking us all over the world, coaching us and driving us to swimming, football, hockey and more. He always had great advice, and he always made us laugh with his lovable comedic antics. He loved his wife with all his heart. He loved his grandchildren and daughters-in-law deeply. He lived a wonderful life, and he was a star of a human being. But now comes the time for remembering his vibrant personality. He was always up for a good time, always the life of the party, and always had our backs as father and leader of the Chiltern household. He had a great sense of humor, a kind heart, and looked to make a positive impact on the life experiences of those he loved. We miss you Dad/Steve/Papa/Grandpa!!! And we love you so very much.Show more
