Walled Lake, MI

On September 10, 2023, Arbutus Rose (Allen) Bellefeuille embraced her Savior and her loved ones in heaven. She was born in War Creek, Kentucky on October 26,1931. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Polly (Johnson) Allen and all her seven siblings. The family's early life in Appalachia Kentucky during the depression was very difficult but the family bond was strong. They walked out of their small "holler" in 1941 and hitched a ride to Michigan for a better life and work opportunities. Many, many family gatherings for years to come were enjoyed at this new home in Wixom, Michigan. Her siblings were: Warren Allen (Jane (d. ), Gail) of Punta Gorda, FL, Wendell Allen of War Creek, KY, Herbert Allen (Joyce) of Plymouth, MI, Charles Allen (Judy) of Port Charlotte, FL, Wilburn Allen (Phyllis) of Port Charlotte, FL, Paul Allen (Karen) of Wixom, MI, and her dear sister Violet Ruth Walz (Rod) of Winter Haven, FL. Her bothers called her Daisy and teased her lovingly and often. In 1950 Arbutus married Clarence Albert Bellefeuille (d. 2011). They raised their family in Walled Lake, MI. Arbutus was a school cook in the Walled Lake Consolidated School System for over 25 years. She devoted her life to caring for her husband and three daughters, Patricia Lynn (Bellefeuille) Luckmann (husband Lee), Linda Carol (Bellefeuille) Kahler, and Barbara Kae Bellefeuille all now living in Granger, IN. Her three daughters adored their mother and count it their highest privilege to have been raised by a praying and selfless mother. Her greatest passion was living out her deep and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. She was a genuine friend to so many people and yet never sought out the friendships for her own needs but only to be a friend to others. She was most content just being with family, but she loved to be in or near the water and often talked about climbing trees. Six Grandchildren and nine Great-grandchildren were loved, rocked, and prayed over. Grandchildren are Deborah Ruth (Kahler) Mitchell, Nicole Lynn (Luckmann) Hall (husband Jamie), Aaron Lee Luckmann, Rebecca Lynn (Luckmann) Reh (husband John). Great-grandchildren are, Rebecca Sakovich, Kristina Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell, Nathan Luckmann, Paige Lauterwasser, Hailey Lauterwasser, Brooke Hall, Quinn Hall, and Bree Hall. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 16 from 11:00 to 12:30 at Lynch and Sons in Walled Lake, MI. There will be a brief celebration of life and a private internment following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bethel University in Mishawaka, Indiana (https://betheluniversity. edu/give/). Designate "In honor of Arbutus Bellefeuille. "

Angela Williams-Gorman

Angela Williams-Gorman

Age - 74

September 23, 2023

Angela Jean Williams-Gorman, age 74, of Walled Lake, Michigan, was born June 17, 1949 and passed away September 12, 2023. Loving mother of Diana Williams and Alan Williams. Dear sister of Denise (Don) Owen and Vincent (Melissa) Ometz. Angela will be missed by numerous other family members and friends. Angela was preceded in passing by her husbands, Dennis Williams and Thomas Gorman. ***Message from the Family*** Alan and I need to focus on remembering our lifetime with Mom as a vibrant force, not the difficult decline of the recent past. It is impossible to remember Mom without all the friends she has- and to that end- we want everyone who loved her to be able to attend a celebration. Because Alan and I need time, because Mom adamantly did not want a traditional funeral, and because cross-country and cross-ocean travel need planning. . . We are not holding any funeral events at this time. There will be a Celebration of Life held at her house at some point in the future. I do not know when that will be yet. The earliest would be November, but I think the Spring of 2024 is more likely. Mom loved Spring. Funerals are for the living to celebrate and take comfort in sharing memories. Mom's life had so much to celebrate and she touched people literally all over the world with her kindness, humor and endless well of love. I know this isn't traditional, but Mom always marched to her own beat- and she certainly raised Alan and me to do the same. We will be mailing out a remembrance in the coming weeks, and I promise there will be plenty of notice given for her Last Great Party. For everyone who has asked about flowers- Alan and I would sincerely prefer an alternative gesture. Between our allergies the floral explosion after Dad's and Tom's funerals were beautiful and touching but extremely difficult to manage. We would appreciate, in lieu of flowers, any contribution to us correcting outstanding issues with the home. Any checks can be made out to Diana Williams and sent to 13318 Dixie Highway #84, Holly MI 48442, or PayPal Diana@warponyforge. com if you would rather. Thank you for all the love and support during this time. It has been beautifully bittersweet reliving how beloved our Mother is. With love, Diana & Alan WilliamsShow more
