Obituary of Antonia "Toni" Kubitza Antonia "Toni" Cycilia Kubitza was born on June 17, 1933 to Herman and Theresa (Laubach) Humbert in Regal, MN. She graduated from Belgrade High School in 1952. She worked as a telephone operator for AT&T in Minneapolis. On April 4, 1959, Toni was united in marriage to Eugene Kubitza at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in South Minneapolis. Caring for her home and family was her life. She enjoyed road trips, playing cards, slots, watercolors, coloring, visiting with friends and family, and time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Toni died on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at the age of 85. She is survived by her children - Shawno Shelby of Eagan, MN, Shelley (Daniel) Olson of Springfield, MN, Thomas Kubitza of Burnsville, MN and Sandra (Scott) Poeschel of Cottage Grove, MN; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and brothers Herman Jr. and Phillip Humbert. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Eugene; son - James Allen in infancy; son-in-law Craig Shelby; sisters - Jeanette Skarhus, Myrtle Ruetten, and Helen Steepe; and brother George Humbert.
