Antoinetta Maria Wade Thomas, who resided at 109 Rich Street, Irvington, NJ, 07111 was born on March 4th, 1944, the first child of six of Dr. Howard P. Wade and Mary Williams Wade, in Keystone, WV. Antionetta graduated Kimball High School in Kimball, WV, in 1962. After graduation Antoinetta moved to Orange, NJ to further her education and pursue her career in healthcare nutrition and dietary foodservice. Antoinetta graduated from New York Institute of Dietetics, New York City, NY 1973. She worked in food nutrition as a Registered dietician at St Mary's Hospital, House of Good Shepard Nursing Home. She worked in management and Director positions Northfield Manor Nursing Home, Green brook Manor Nursing Home, Antoinetta retired as Director of Food Services from North Caldwell Care Facilities. She continued to be a dietary consultant for several facilities for many years. Antionetta was a member of the National Dietary Managers Association, New Jersey Chapter. Antionetta was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Orange, NJ, Seniors of Irvington, New Jersey Board of Dieticians, Association of Nutrition & foodservice Professionals. 1199 Union representative and actively involved in many community organizations. She loved "The Lord ", her family, friends, people and making things happen. "Net" loved to travel and was often on the road. She spent a lot of her time with her Senior group doing community and social activities. Antoinetta transitioned peacefully August 27, 2023, Sunday afternoon in her home. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Williams Wade, her husband, Joseph Thomas, her born infant son, brothers Howard M. Wade and John W. Wade. 'Net" leaves to cherish her loving memory her father Dr. Howard P. Wade (Maybeury, WV), siblings, Harnella (Richard) Walton (Richmond, VA), Leon P. Wade (Maybeury, WV), Michelle Wade (Miami Gardens, FL), nieces and nephews, Renae S. (Michael) Bonds Bryant (Miami Gardens ,FL), Crystal L. (Norman) Stevens (Carteret, NJ), Larry N. Wade (Miami Gardens, FL), ( Tykeya Wade (Hillside, NJ), Andrew Wade Gonyon (Milton, Vermont), Vera A. Bailey Morris (Highland Springs, VA) and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and loyal valued family members and friends. Longtime devoted friend John Lipscomb (Columbia, SC)Loving, caring daughter, sister, auntie, friend you will be missed may you rest in perfect!!!!

Maxie Andrew McRimmon was born on August 7, 1933 in Orange, NJ to the late Maxie and Ethel Gibbs McRimmon. He was the brother of the late Etta McRimmon Puryear Person. Educated in the Orange Public School System, Maxie graduated from Orange High School in 1951. He then attended West Virginia State College, graduating in 1955 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. While at WVSC Maxie was accepted into the Omega Phi Psi fraternity in 1953. He remained an active member for many years, receiving a 'brick' signifying 50 years of service and a 60 year certificate from the Theta Psi chapter. Upon graduation from WVSC Maxie had fulfilled his ROTC requirement for the army, attaining the rank of Second Lieutenant. Several years were spent in the US Army Reserve and in 1963 he received a Honorable Discharge. On August 27, 1954 Maxie married his high school sweetheart, Otris (nee Smith). From that union they had four children; Pamela, Maxine (deceased), Martin and Philip. Maxie and Otris enjoyed a loving marriage for 69 years. After his commitment to the army was fulfilled Maxie joined his father in the construction business where they worked side by side for 16 years as 'McRimmon and Son, Masons. One of their achievements was building a 2 family house in Orange, NJ where he raised his family. Following his years as a mason, Maxie took a job with the City of Orange Township, holding positions as a Field Representative, Building Inspector, Construction Official and Zoning Officer, having the distinction of holding the latter 3 positions simultaneously. After working 23 years for the city he retired in 1994. In 1982 Maxie established a partnership with his son called McRimmon Associates which provided tax services for many years to their loyal clientele that included family and friends. Maxie also served as a member of several local boards that served the community: The Orange Board of Education, Commissioner Orange Housing Authority and Commissioner Orange Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. Maxie enjoyed his retirement by traveling with his wife and spending time in Atlantic City playing the slots. He also enjoyed hosting family and friends at barbecues and Christmas parties at his home. Maxie was a 'fixture in his neighborhood, often sitting on his front porch discussing current events with neighbors. Sunday, November 26, 2023 Maxie departed this life while at home. He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife Otris, children Pamela Mayo, Martin (Kelly) McRimmon, Philip (Carolyn) McRimmon; grandchildren Keisha Hodges, Jamar (Maria) Hodges, Tamika Hodges, Justin McRimmon, Kiara McRimmon, Megan (Jamie) Mayo, Alec (Jamie) Mayo, Erik McRimmon, Shaun McRimmon, ten great -grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.Show more
