Antoinette Lalla Pichon, a retired nurse anesthetist, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the age of 95. She was the beloved widow of the late Raymond J. Pichon and daughter of Antonia (Lena) Cuccia Lalla and Nicholas Lalla. Mrs. Pichon was born in New Orleans and lived in Diamondhead, MS for 25 years before moving to Metairie, where she lived for 8 years before residing at Our Lady of Wisdom in New Orleans. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy High School and Hotel Dieu School of Nursing, where she received a degree as a registered nurse (R. N. ). Mrs. Pichon also graduated from Charity School of Anesthesia as a certified nurse anesthetist (CRNA). She worked as a highly respected nurse anesthetist at Baptist Hospital for forty years. She was a member of the Diamondhead Country Club, Krewe of Diamondhead, the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2880, the Plimsoll Club, and a longtime member of the Elenian Club. She is survived by one sister, Anna Lalla Morrow, and one brother, Dominick Lalla, and is the sister of the late Leonard D. Lalla and Nicholas J. Lalla. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.

Aaron "Roscoe" McDowell was born on December 5, 1959, in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Willie and Flora Mae Houston. Aaron was a devoted husband to Crystal Ann McDowell, and a father to Corey Gayle, Aaron McDowell Jr. , Carnell McDowell(Jasmine McDowell), and the late Kortney McDowell. He was a grandfather to Courtney Fisher, Corey Gibson, Janelle McDowell, Jazzell McDowell, Chanelle McDowell, Ke'Nyrie Fisher, and LaShawn Hutchinson. He was the son-in-law of Lawrence and Arsene Alexander from New Orleans, La. Aaron was the brother of, Willie Houston Jr. , Schlise Houston, Chris Houston(Anniese Houston), Reachelle Braxton(Byron Braxton), and Yatynia Jones. He was preceded in death by his late sister Mary Fagan. He was survived by his in-laws Cheryl Brisco(Rodney Brisco), Dianne Boudreaux(Floyd Boudreaux), Trudy Gayle, Lawrence Alexander(Tamika Alexander), Keith Gayle, and Gwendolyn Alexander, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Aaron entered eternal life on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the age of 63 years old. He was a Machine Operator at Pellerin Milnor Company for over a decade. For those who knew him, knew he loved his Air Jordans and had to be dressed to kill. He found passion in worshipping the Lord and making sure everyone was happy he encountered. He was a jokester and had a smile that lit up the room. He loved playing basketball and shooting pool. He loved working on cars and raising rottweilers all named "EASY". Marion Hall EverageOn Tuesday, November 21, 2023, God said it was time. Mrs. Marion Hall Everage walked into eternity with Jesus. Born on March 27, 1936, she was affectionately known as Mrs. Marion. She was the youngest child of Mitchell and Annie Hall Sr. Her parents, brothers--Mitchell and Harold Jr. and sister Aline Hall Lewis, along with her grandson, Sebastian preceded her in death. In 1953, Marion married her lifelong sweetheart, Lawrence Everage Sr. , who preceded her in death in 2012. From this blessed and loving union which lasted 58 years a wonderful legacy was established. This legacy consists of 9 children, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, all of whom were blessed to experience Mrs. Marion's love and nurturing. She was extremely passionate about her love for and belief in family, which was demonstrated by her being a fierce advocate for each of her children. However, nothing brought her greater joy than seeing her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Always a loving and caring person, becoming a grandmother and great grandmother catapulted her love to heights rarely achieved by others. Her love for her family was only second to her immense love for Christ. Mrs. Marion, who accepted Christ at an early age, loved to worship and was a woman of prayer and devotion. She was a lifelong member of Second New Light Baptist Church where she served as president of the Deaconess Board and supported her church in any way she could. Mrs. Marion attended Tommy Lafon Middle School and Walter L. Cohen High School. After retiring from F. W. Woolworth, Mrs. Marion attended the New Orleans Council on Aging CNA program where she received her Certified Nursing Assistant certificate. She worked as a CNA for 11 years before retiring a second time. "Big" Marion, Auntie Marion, or Mama enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved to cook, laugh, and oh how she loved to dance. She never met a stranger, and everyone enjoyed being in her presence. As the last matriarch of her generation, Marion will be greatly missed. Cherishing her memory are her children: Linda (Thurman), Deborah, Wanda, Lawrence Jr. (Monica), and Janice of New Orleans; Lorraine, Russell (Robinette), Phyllis, and Renee (Santana) of Dallas, TX; granddaughters Leticheau "Teedy" (Warren), Nicole (Arnold), Mia (Andre), Myra, Lawanna, Madison, Milan, and Mason; grandsons Lawrence III, Philip, Isiah (Rainey), Lonnie and a host of great-grandkids, great- great grandkids, nieces, nephews, and cousins. On Tuesday November 21, 2023, Mrs. Victoria Baldwin Steward's soul transitioned peacefully at home. She was born on November 8, 1940, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Benjamin H. Baldwin Sr. and Victoria Washington Baldwin. She is the loving mother of two devoted sons- Carlos Jimmie Smith Sr. (Shantel) and Wendell Smith (Dr. Marilyn). Victoria was educated in the New Orleans Public School System and attended Peter S. Lawton Elementary School and L. B. Landry High School where she graduated in 1958. She also graduated from Straight Business College. Victoria went on to a career at New Orleans City Hall and retired from the United States Postal Service in 1996. She was affectionately called "Vick" because she was named after her mother. Her legacy of "Faith in God" was fostered by her parents. She was a faithful member of Olive Branch Baptist Church. Victoria was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, godmother, and a caring sibling. She truly loved her family and always provided for the ones in need without ever expecting anything in return. She was a wonderful church member, friend, and confidante. She loved traveling, talking, and encouraging others. Victoria leaves many happy memories to be treasured by her two sons- Carlos Jimmie Smith Sr. (Shantel) and Wendell Smith (Dr. Marilyn); six grandchildren-Carlos Smith Jr. (Ebony), Jared Chaney, Carlea Smith, Kristen B. Rankins, Brea Smith, and Tylor Smith; twelve great-grandchildren; godson-Kelvin Donsereaux, Sr. ; sister-in-law-Elizabeth Baldwin; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a devoted friend-Gizelle. Victoria was preceded in death by her husband-Raymond Steward; parents- Benjamin H. Baldwin Sr. and Victoria Washington Baldwin; brothers-Calvin, Ernest, Isaiah, and Benjamin; and sisters-Catherine B. Ruffin and Leonell B. Moss. Catina Monique Craig was born on July 3, 1972 and entered eternal rest on November 8, 2023. Catina was the second oldest of 3 sisters, born to the parents of the late Earnest Montgomery of Dallas, Texas and Arlene Gail Craig of New Orleans, Louisiana. Catina received Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior at a young age. She was baptized at Guiding Light Baptist Church. Catina attended Sarah T. Reed Sr. High School. Although singing was her favorite hobby, she participated in dance as a majorette during her high school years. Her favorite to eat was "Cheese and Jack Vanilla Wafers" Her humble beginnings started in New Orleans, Louisiana working at McDonald's Restaurant. After Hurricane Katrina, Catina resided in Austin, Texas where she became a faithful teacher's aide. Catina spread her love laboring in childcare for parents while they worked. She was a very passionate and inspiring soul. A great person to all that met her. Her laughter and smile was always the light of every atmosphere. Trial and Tribulations never stopped her free spirit, Catina had a heart of joy! Catina had a gift of putting a smile on others faces. " The love she had for her mother and sisters were without doubt. Catina loved her sons more than life. She also referred to most family members and to those who she loved and knew her as "Beautiful Black Queens and Kings". She is survived by 2 wonderful sons; Michael Tyrise Craig and Markquise Tyran Craig along with 5 wonderful grandchildren: Jewel, Kendal, Tyrian, Tyrial, Kash and baby Craig on the way.
