"Anthony George Peloso of Clearwater, Fl, a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, died Friday, April 21. He was 97. When he returned to the Bronx after his war service, he married his childhood sweetheart, Virginia Hortian. They celebrated their 77th wedding anniversary last June. She survives. Mr. Peloso, nicknamed \u0026quot;Andy,\u0026quot; was born in New York City Aug. 19, 1925. , son of Lucy and Dominick Peloso. He attended city schools before enlisting in 1943, serving in the Pacific on the USS Henry T. Allen and the USS Jupiter. An electrician, he was secretary of the lnternational Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local at Metro-North Railroad\u0027s Croton-on-Hudson yards. He retired in 1985, moving to Clearwater five years later. An avid collector, he maintained hundreds of clocks, from antique alarms to grandfathers, He and his wife traveled widely, enjoying cruises and regular visits to Las Vegas. He is also survived by a daughter, Sandra Patafio and her husband Ron; son Andrew Peloso and his wife Debbie; four grandchildren: Christine Patafio, Gayle Patafio, Alyssa Peloso and Natalie Peloso; and three great-grandchildren: Miles, Sophia and Caden. He was predeceased by five brothers: Joseph, Louis, Salvatore, Daniel and George; and four sisters Josephine, Margie, May, and Helen. "
