Anthony Pagano, 77, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on September 11, 2023, at Reading Hospital. Born in Santa Lucia del Mela, Italy, on September 26, 1945, Anthony was the son of the late Carmelo and Maria (Arico) Pagano. Anthony "Nino" worked as a beloved pastry chef for the Dickens Inn and The Plough & The Stars restaurant in Society Hill, Philadelphia, for many years, until he retired in 2008. In his spare time, Anthony enjoyed picking fruit, visiting wineries to pick grapes, and being an active member of the TriCounty Active Adult Center in Pottstown. Anthony was one of the kindest and gentlest spirited people with whom anyone could cross paths. He always considered the needs of others before his own because he was always insistent on not being a burden to anyone. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Anthony was a faithful brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed. Anthony is lovingly remembered by his siblings, Mario (& Tina) Pagano, Antonio Franco Pagano, Peter Pagano, and Ann P. (& John T. ) Oxenford; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Anthony was predeceased by his brothers, Santo Pagano and Francesco Pagano. Visitation will take place on September 13, 2023, from 10:00 a. m. - 10:45 a. m. in the Gathering Center of Saint Aloysius Church, 223 Beech St. , Pottstown, PA 19464. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a. m. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
