New Waterford - Anthony Pietro Amabile Jr , age 60, of New Waterford, died on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at his home in New Waterford He was born on March 11, 1963, in Detroit, MI, son of the late Anthony and Anna Falcone Amabile Anthony had worked as a Mechanic for U S Air and American Airlines for 33 years and was a member of Greenford Christian Church He had served in the U S Navy, enjoyed hunting golfing and traveling and was an avid sports fan, he truly loved baseball and continued playing throughout his entire life Anthony was a loving, husband, father, grandfather and Godfather Anthony is survived by his wife, Aleli G Ramirez Amabile, whom he married on September 30, 1989; a son, Anthony Pietro Amabile, III; two daughters, Monique L (Ryan) Kernich and Kilani M (Logan) Rippons; four sisters, Emilia Webster, Santina Gianino, Maria Mukrdechian and Anna Marie (Gary) Brewer; a brother, Carmen (Kathy) Amabile; three grandchildren, Nicole Leila Kernich, Caleb Ryan Kernich and Ellie Rippons and a fourth grandchild on the way, baby Luke Anthony was also a loving uncle of numerous nieces and nephews and Godfather to Joe Amabile, Gina Doelle, Erica Rutkowski and Brianna Osman He was preceded in death by a brother, Dante Amabile The family will receive friends on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana A time of sharing will take place during visitation on Friday beginning at 6:30 pm Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 12:00 noon at the Greenford Christian Church, Greenford, with John Bush, Minister officiating Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the memorial service at the church Memorial donations may be made to the Big Reach Center of Hope c/o Greenford Christian Church (list "BRCOH" in the memo) 11767 Lisbon Rd, Greenford, OH 44422 or on their website at brcoh org/donate Memorial donations may also be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation online at t2t org/donate Family and friends may view this obituary and send condolences at www familycareservices com

NEW WATERFORD, OHIO - Craig S. Sell, 62, of New Waterford passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. Craig was born in East Liverpool on January 3, 1961 a son of the late John T. and Thresa (Montgomery) Sell. He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School class of 1979. Craig worked at Rite Aid as a merchandiser for 35 years. He enjoyed going to car shows with his car a 49 Hudson Coupe and was a member of the Hudson Essex Terraplane Club. Craig was a member of Rich Hill Apostolic Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who made his family his top priority. He loved spoiling his grandkids and attending their sporting events. He was known for saying "Put #36 in!!" Preceding Craig in death was his sister Pamela Sell and sister-in-law Janet Sell. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, whom he married September 10, 1988, Mina (Merriman) Sell; two sons Eric Sell and his wife Sobia and James Stratton; two daughters Mina Boyd and her husband Justin and Kristin McNicholas and her husband John; eight grandchildren Tyler Stratton, Dakota Stratton, Logan Boyd, Valerie Boyd, Addison McNicholas, Jaina Sell, Suraya Sell and Aziz Sell and brother Randy Sell. Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday where the family will be present from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. Pastor Leonard Pirl of Rich Hill Apostolic Church will conduct a service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 p. m. Burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery. New Waterford- Robert E. "Bob" Quetot, 56, passed away quietly at 4:40am, Monday, July 31, 2023 at his home with his family by his side following a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born April 16, 1967 in Salem, a son of Flora Sandra "Sandy" (Cusick) Quetot of New Waterford and the late Felix James "Jim" Quetot and had lived his entire life in the area. A 1985 graduate of Beaver Local High School, Bob worked for 17 years as an upholsterer for Sheely's Furniture. He was a member of Abundant Life Fellowship Church; and was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and searching for mushrooms. He also enjoyed running R. C. Cars. In addition to his mother, Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Paula (Mills) Quetot, whom he married November 14, 1987; son, Bobby (Bethany) Quetot of Columbiana, daughter, Jessica (Cody) Stephens of Washingtonville; grandchildren, Aubrie, Joshua, Levi, and Kerrie; and his brother, Greg (Jodie) Quetot of Rogers. In addition to his father, Bob was also preceded in death by his son, Joshua Quetot; and by his brother, Jeffrey Quetot. Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Schoch officiating. Burial will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens. NEW WATERFORD - Russell H. Schaefer, Jr. , 77, of New Waterford, passed away Thursday May 4, 2023. Russell was born on October 7, 1945, in Youngstown, a son of Russell and Helen (Kernyat) Schaefer, Sr. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and boating with his family. He liked working and spending time outside making his home beautiful. He enjoyed building and was a skilled craftsman. He was a Master Mason at the Negley Masonic Lodge #565 and a Shriner. He was a true entrepreneur and succeeded in many fields. He started in a machine shop and did siding. He was the Vice-President of Evel-Gada and built the interior of the Hummel Gift Shop in New Springfield, OH. He learned to drive truck and delivered popcorn to Hills Stores in 27 states. He helped operate concession stands and sold Christmas trees as well as moving houses with Ron Coppock House Movers. He then became an owner/operator and started R. Schaefer & Sons while traveling the country. He was a loving father, passionate teacher, and devoted husband who cared deeply for his family and friends. He leaves his wife Ellen Sue Benzenhoefer Schaefer, whom he married December 2, 1972; children Sheri Lynn Kenney of Boise, ID, Christine Marie Mitchell of Los Angeles, CA and David Adam (Julie) Schaefer of Portland, TN; ten grandchildren Simon Crawley of Seattle, WA, Sloan Schaefer of Pulaski, PA, Nicole Kenney, Katheryn Treasure (Brandon Nixon), Kelsey Martin (Devin Martin), Madelyn Kenney, and Audrey Kenney, all of Boise, ID, Randal Schaefer of Leetonia, Elliott Schaefer of Los Angeles, CA and Billie Schaefer of Portland, TN; and great-grandchildren Phoenix Harju of Pittsburgh, PA and Alaina and Harrison Martin of Boise, ID; and siblings Helen (Phillip) Lownes of Richmond, VA, Paul (Judy) Schaefer of Oregonia, OH, John (Jean) Schaefer of Jefferson, OH, Joe Schaefer and Nora Farrell (Gary Cramblitt) of Cambroule, MD. . Russell was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Elsie Cole, sons Russell III and William and great-granddaughter Octavia Waters. . New Waterford - Ramona McLaughlin, age 92, of New Waterford, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 surrounded by her family and her beloved dog Gretchen. Ramona was born on May 15, 1930, in East Palestine, daughter of the late Delbert and Bessie Burson Ward. Ramona was a homemaker and worked for the US Postal Service in New Waterford and the Vittle Village. She was a member of New Waterford United Methodist Church. For years she was active in the Crestview Athletic Boosters and area Senior Groups. She loved sports especially Nascar racing and football, being a #1 Steeler's fan. Her husband, Kenneth D. McLaughlin, whom she married on March 5, 1949, preceded her in death on, April 8, 1982. Ramona is survived by her two sons, Kenneth "Doug" (June) McLaughlin of Negley and Jeffrey L. (Linda) McLaughlin of New Waterford; three granddaughters, Angela Piper of Canton, Allison McLaughlin of Fairfield, CT and Molly McLaughlin of Lakewood; grandson, J. P. (Michelle) McLaughlin of Youngstown; four great grandchildren, Kyle, Ben, Collin and Dylan; two great great grandchildren, Aspen and Maliya; and a brother, Danial (Patricia) Ward of New Springfield. She was also preceded in death by brother, John Ward and her sister, Mary Joanne Hulton. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
