Annette Rivera, 99 years old, of Dublin, California passed peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. Annette was born on May 3, 1924 to Dario and Maria Benitez in Madera, California where she lived as a young girl before moving to San Leandro at the age of 17. Annette worked at Sunshine Biscuits in Oakland, California where she met her husband Paul Rivera. They married in 1950 and moved to Dublin, California in 1961 where they raised their two daughters Martha and Stephanie. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She always put others first before herself and had so much love for her husband of 72 years and her family. She is survived by her husband, 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and 1 great-great grandchild. Annette was preceded in death by her 4 brothers and 2 sisters and was the last remaining child of Dario and Maria Benitez.

"Cheryl Diane Priddy November 2, 1948 - May 8, 2021 Loving Wife, Mother, Grammy, Sister, Daughter and Friend, left us peacefully in her sleep May 8th, 2021. Cheri was wise, kind and had a heart full of love. Now she is home and healthy, greeted by her parents and son, Jacob. Cheri was survived by her loving husband of 35 years: Gary Priddy, son: Benjamin Schlies (Andrea), sister: Rhonda Louallen (Billy), brother: Greg Keb (Jill), and grandchildren: Lauren, Alyssa, Shelby, Zachary, and Samantha. Cheri was born in Vernon, Texas and she studied interior design in South Bend Indiana. She lived most of her life in California, the bay area, where she raised her 2 sons, had a career in interior design, and lived life to its fullest. Cheri had a love for horses, she was a great artist, and enjoyed decorating and helping others with their decorating needs. She enjoyed spending time with her sons and grandchildren, especially shopping with them, making memories, and making them feel special. Her grandchildren loved spending time with their Grammy Cheri. Cheri was lucky enough to find the love of her life and best friend, Gary, who treated her like a princess. They had many adventures together. They enjoyed trips to Carmel, shopping, remodeling / decorating, and spending time together. Their love is what we all strive to have. Cheri will be remembered for her generosity, fun loving spirit, love for her family and her acceptance of others. She was always there when you needed her, you could talk to her about anything without judgement, and she always gave great advise and wisdom. Cheri will be missed and remembered by all who knew and loved her. We are all better people for knowing and being loved by her. "With great sorrow, the family of Lorraine E. (Smith) Cordon, 74, of Pleasanton, California, announce the passing of our kind, caring, and loving wife, mother, and Mema on February 26, 2023 from symptoms due to a previous stroke. . Lorraine was born on October 23, 1948 to \u0026quot;Bill\u0026quot; Shan and Mary (Lindley) Smith in Knoxville, Tennessee. Loraine spent her early childhood in Southern California before the family settled in Castle Rock, Colorado, where she finished primary school and attended high school. Shortly after graduating, Lorraine moved to Northern California where she worked as a bank clerk. Lorraine and Walter M. Cordon married January 18, 1970 and settled in Pleasanton, California where they raised two daughters, Teresa and Andrea. Lorraine was a dedicated mother and while her children were in elementary school she was an active volunteer in their classrooms and libraries where her love of grammar, spelling and all things written flourished. Lorraine crocheted, knitted, hand sewed and crafted gifts for friends, family, and acquaintances; these amazing skills led her to a job working at a local handicraft and gift shop for some dear friends before settling into a career with Pacific Coast Seed as a receptionist and office savant. Lorraine took piano lessons and classes in drawing and photography and shared her love for the arts and nature with her children and grandchildren. She loved going to tea and visiting historic houses and gardens or other unusual sites (like the Sea Lion Caves) and sharing those experiences with those close to her. Lorraine had a wonderful sense of adventure and in her youth, she rode motorcycles (as a driver and a passenger), fished, camped, backpacked, kayaked, and enjoyed spelunking! Throughout her life Lorraine had been to nearly all 50 states as well as Canada and Mexico. She occupies her downtime doing needlework, handicraft projects, word puzzles, reading, gardening, watching classic films and romcoms and connecting with her many loved ones. Lorraine never seemed to meet a stranger and shared long-term friendships with many of the people she encountered along her journey. She befriended nearly everyone she met including her children\u0027s crossing-guards, the clerk at the post office, the workers at her favorite stores and doctor\u0027s offices and most especially her neighbors. Lorraine spent half her summer with Andrea and her children in Indiana where she enjoyed the local 4-H program and traveled to visit with her family in Maryland, South Carolina and Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her father \u0026quot;Bill\u0026quot; Shan William Smith and her mother Mary Ann (Lindley) Smith. Lorraine is survived by her wonderful husband Walt, daughters Terrie Zwillinger and Andi Wainscott, sister Kathy (John) Gilbert, brother Ron (Dana) Smith, grandchildren Korah, Dakota, Talen, Maxine, and Maizen, several cousins and their children. "On Friday, February 7, 2020, Michael Philip Leaser passed away after a valiant year-long battle with lymphoma at the young age of 35. Michael was with his wife and brother when he passed. He was born in Livermore, CA to Patricia Dennis Leaser and Robert Wayne Leaser. They moved briefly to Indiana before returning to Santa Rosa, CA, where Michael spent most of his childhood. He graduated from Maria Carrillo High School and studied History at UC Santa Barbara, where he met his wife, Julana Klein and graduated in 2006. Julie and Michael later moved to the East Coast and he worked at John Hancock for six years and began studying Law at the New England School of Law. He moved back to California in 2012 and completed his law degree from UC Berkeley School of Law in 2014. Since 2013, Mike has loved working at Metaswitch as part of their in-house legal team. Michael and Julie were married in 2013 and welcomed son, Caleb, in 2016, and daughter, Hannah, in 2018. He enjoyed video games, hiking, and playing with his children and was an avid debater and consumer of news and perspectives. Michael fiercely loved his family and faced the challenges of the past year with grace, honesty, and unparalleled positivity. He is survived by his wife, children, father Robert Leaser, and brother Bradford Leaser. He will also be remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. His memorial will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2020, at 10:30 AM at the Pleasanton Senior Center, 5353 Sunol Blvd. , Pleasanton, CA. "John T. Collins, Sr. peacefully went to meet Jesus from his home, surrounded by family members in Dublin, CA on November 13, 2019, at the age of 77. John is survived by his wife, Sharon; Children, Johnny, Tawny, Sean, Maria, James, Melinda, Sharon, and Brandy; 29 grandchildren, and 4-1/2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Vincent Collins, and mother Eva T. Collins, Oakland, CA. John, Sr. was born on August 26, 1942, in Oakland, CA, to Vincent and Eva Collins, and was their only child. He graduated from St. Mary\u0027s College with a degree in biology. He married his college sweetheart in 1962. After moving from Oakland, he became an IBEW union electrician for local 595. Over the next two decades, John and Sharon welcomed eight children into their home. John worked hard and provided the means for his wife to stay home and nurture their children. His children remember him as a loving, stern, stubborn, intelligent, eclectic, caring father, who encouraged them to pursue their passions and goals. John was also well-known as a coach of soccer throughout the Tri-Valley area. He coached his own children for years. His passion for soccer and his love for coaching continued well past his own family, and he dedicated a large segment of his life by giving back to the Dublin community through his volunteer coaching. John T. Collins, Sr. was an accomplished electrician/mathematician/scholar, and was always furthering his knowledge by continuing his education, and his ravenous hunger for reading. He was a loving grandfather who showered his grandchildren with his time and treasure. He retired at the young age of 58, and was passionate about travelling (in his motorhome), spending countless late nights on the ham radio (KJ6VI), and staying up all hours reading books of any genre. He was active with his family, and never missed the monthly family reunions. A memorial is scheduled for Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at Old St. Raymond Church, 6600 Donlon Way, Dublin, CA, 94568, at 10:00 a. m. A reception is to follow at 2269 Yellowstone Avenue, Tracy, CA, 95376 (Brandy\u0027s house). Pastor Paul Nunez will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate John\u0027s life. Her remarkable journey through life was filled with achievements, empowerment, and a passion for breaking boundaries. Gurdeep was born the eldest of three children and the only daughter to her loving parents. Her early years were marked by exceptional academic prowess. She attended Guru Nanak High School, where she displayed her exceptional intellect by securing the top spot in state rankings for language studies. Her thirst for knowledge led her to Sophia College, where she pursued a bachelor\u0027s degree in science with a specialization in microbiology. In the pursuit of love and adventure, Gurdeep married an Air Force pilot, embarking on a two-decade-long journey through various Indian Air Force bases across India. During this time, she dedicated herself to educating the youth, working as a schoolteacher, specializing in science and mathematics. After her husband\u0027s retirement, Gurdeep returned to Mumbai, where she continued her teaching career at various schools in the city. However, her entrepreneurial spirit soon led her down a different path. She founded her own business, a Tupperware distributorship, which she managed with unparalleled dedication and commitment. Her outstanding sales acumen propelled her to break numerous records and attain the highest tier status for multiple years. Along the way, she became a mentor and coach to countless women, empowering them to become self-reliant earners. Gurdeep\u0027s contributions and success in direct marketing were widely recognized with awards and global trips. Her relentless pursuit of excellence didn\u0027t stop there. She later joined Tupperware as the Head of Sales for the Western India region, further cementing her legacy in the direct marketing industry. As she neared retirement, Gurdeep decided to prioritize spending time with her cherished family and friends. She migrated to the United States a decade ago to be closer to her children and grandchildren, bringing her indomitable spirit and zest for life with her.
