Anne Santino Obituary

Anne Santino, 92, of Merrick, New York passed away on April 23, 2023, after a brief illness. Anne was born on December 15, 1930 to Ross Sparacio and Anna Sparacio. After Anne graduated from The School of Industrial Art in Manhattan in 1948, she went on to work as an assistant to the Buyer at B. Altman & Company. At B. Altman & Company, Anne met Anthony Santino. Anne and Anthony married in 1951 and went on to have two children, Charles and Andrea. Anne worked for many years as a Pupil Personnel Secretary in the Bellmore Merrick Central High School District. She took a bachelor's degree at Empire State College. After Anne retired in 1995, she became a member of the Friends of the North Merrick Public Library where she served a term as president. Other volunteer work included the AARP, a crisis hotline, and library writing groups in Merrick and Bellmore. Anne was predeased by her husband Anthony Santino, her brother John Sparacio, and her parents Ross and Anna Sparacio. She is survived her son, Charles (Anne) Santino, Andrea (Peter) Menna, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Reposing at N. F. Walker Inc. , 2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY 11566 , Visiting Hours Wednesday 2-4pm and 7-9Pm. Private interment at St. Charles Cemetery
