Obituary - Anne Bourbeau FitzGerald After a long illness, Anne Bourbeau FitzGerald, a long-time resident of Mt. Kisco, died on April 22, 2023 at 91 years of age. An only child, Anne was born in the Bronx, NY to Ernest and Iola (Genet) Bourbeau. She attended grade schools in Teaneck, NJ, and Purchase, NY. After her family's move to Mt. Kisco, she attended St. Mary's High School in Katonah, NY where she graduated in 1949. She went on to work for the Bell Telephone Company as an operator before marrying Donald C. FitzGerald in 1952. Anne worked for several businesses as an office manager/bookkeeper in Mt. Kisco. She eventually worked at the Savings Association Retirement Fund (now Pentegra) in White Plains, NY, where she proudly held the position of Administrator. After her retirement, Anne volunteered with various organizations - helping students with their homework at Mount Kisco Elementary School's Homework Club, driving elderly people to/from medical appointments with FISH (Friends In Serving Humanity), and knitting caps for the premature newborns at Northern Westchester Hospital. Anne is survived by her three children: Michael (Connie) of Newburyport, MA; Richard (Donna) of Mt. Kisco, and Susan Jenkins (Bob) of Mt. Kisco. She had six grandchildren: Brian (Clare) FitzGerald, Matthew (Ivy) FitzGerald, Daniel FitzGerald, Kathryn Palmesi (Doug), Alexandra FitzGerald (Dave McNamara), and JoAnna Jenkins. She also had four great-grandchildren: Connor and Elliot FitzGerald, and Elisa and John Palmesi. Anne is also survived by her sister-in-law, Joan McLaughlin and many nieces and nephews. Anne was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Moses Taylor Post 136 in Mt. Kisco, and, until her illness, was an avid reader and stayed active by taking water aerobics classes and socialising with friends and family who will miss her presence in their lives. Anne was pre-deceased by her husband, Donald, in 2021 and her son-in-law, Robert Jenkins, in 1998. Family & Friends are invited to Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Directors 288 East Main Street Mt. Kisco, NY 10549 on Monday May 1, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm for visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Anne on Tuesday May 2, 2023 at 10:00am St. Francis of Assisi Church Mt.
