Annabelle Leininger passed on Sept. 8, 2023, at Keystone Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center in LaGrange, Ohio. Previously, she lived in Oberlin for many years and was a valued member of staff as an administrative technician in the comptroller office at Oberlin College for 48 years from 1956 until her retirement in 2004. She was born to Michael Hart and Dorothy May (Beam) Leininger on March 13, 1937, in Huntington, Ohio. She graduated from Sullivan High School in 1955 and attended Oberlin School of Commerce. She was preceded in death by her parents; both sisters, Ardith Leininger Roberts of Lodi; and Lois Leininger Lang of Ashland; and her best friend and companion Carolyn Macha. She is survived by her brother, Roy (Sherrel) Leininger, of Brownsboro, Texas; niece and caregiver Dee (Ed) Grant of Lodi; nieces Morgan (Karla) O'Donnell of Albuquerque, N. M. ; and Merrie Leininger of Washington, D. C. ; nephews Rick Roberts (Carla Hillwig) of Lodi; Rodney (Marisol) Roberts of Tempe, Arizona; Michael (Tammy) Roberts of Tempe, Arizona; Wade (Anita) Lang of San Bernadine, Calif. ; and Jonathan (Dawnell) Leininger of Moorefield, W. Va. The family would like to thank the staff at Keystone Pointe and the Mercy New Life Hospice for their wonderful care. To honor Annabelle's wishes there will be no services. Jean A. Forbush of Lagrange, OH passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 31, 2023 at Keystone Pointe following a bout with pneumonia. Jean was born March 12, 1932 in Lagrange, OH - attending Lagrange H. S. Her family was into farming, breeding appaloosa horses, and champion hunting dogs. Her work life started as an Elyria Telephone Company Operator in Lagrange while she was still in school, relaying emergency calls to the local fire department where her father Leonard was Fire Chief. She then worked at General Industries with her sister Phyllis and Lottie. Jean worked at Nordson for a short time then at Lagrange Plastic Blowers with Phyllis. She then worked at Muellers Packing in Oberlin with Phyllis and sister-in-law Bonnie Forbush. She then worked at Medina Meat Packing with Phyllis, her Aunt Gladys, Aunt Florence and her daughter, Linda Austin. Finally she worked at Ridge Tool with Phyllis again while taking an early retirement after 19 years so she could babysit her grandchildren, Michael and Becky. Jean enjoyed puzzles, bingo, crocheting, and babysitting her neighbor's boy Jesse and her nephew Dean's daughter Deanna. Surviving are her grandchildren Michael Austin and Becky (Jared) McGlocklin and great grandson, whom she cherished, Orion McGlocklin as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughter Linda (Robert) Austin; Her parents Leonard and Lucille (Wilcox) Forbush; sisters Phyllis Simmons and Lottie Secrist; and brothers Gordon and Lenn Forbush. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, from 5-8 p. m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 5, at 10am with burial to follow at LaGrange Cemetery. Jason Howard Thigpen, 51, of LaGrange, OH, loving son, brother, uncle, and cousin, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 17, 2023, at his home. He was born August 11, 1971, in Warren, OH, the son of Kathy (Thigpen) Roe. Jason graduated from Brookfield High School class of 1990. He was a veteran of the United States Marines having served 1990-1994. Jason worked as a construction flagger. He enjoyed painting, writing poems, playing his harmonica, reading the Bible, and being with family and friends. Jason will be missed beyond measure. He was a big guy with an even bigger heart and loved his family with absolutely every part of his being. Jason's presence was one that when he walked into a room, he would have everyone laughing with either his quick wit, funny faces, or a joke. He lived his last days broken hearted by the loss of his dear fiancee, Pag-asa "Hope" Dayo and the loss of his best friend and uncle, Anthony "Tony" Thigpen. He was the perfect example of don't judge a book by the cover, because you will miss the best parts!He is survived by his parents, Kathy (Thigpen) Roe and Larry C. Roe of Monroeville, OH; siblings, Carla (Jeff) Waldeck of Bristol, OH, Michael (Amy) Ranttila of Cortland, OH, Angie (Chris) Phillips of Warren, OH, Kari (Aaron) Swenson of Norwalk, OH, Brian Roe of Milan, OH, David Roe of Norwalk, OH, Heath (Jenna) Roe of Colorado Springs, CO and Sarah Roe of Columbus, OH; aunt, Nancy (Thigpen) Gore; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Betty Thigpen and Bob and Betty Dakin; stepfather, Jake Ranttila; fiancee, Pag-asa "Hope" Dayo; uncles, David Thigpen, Mark Thigpen, Robin Thigpen, and Ray Lee Thigpen; uncle and best friend, Tony Thigpen; cousins, Mark Thigpen, Cathy Thigpen and Sharla Ranttila. Services will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Jim Dittmar will officiate.
