Anna K. (Steuer) Merrigan, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on October 4, 2023, at the age of 80. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Frank Joseph and Nellie Virginia (Bain) Steuer, and resided in Bensalem, PA. Anna was a diligent and ambitious individual who worked as a Call Center Representative for the Purple Heart for 17 years. Prior to that, she worked as an Electronics Assembly Technician for many years. She took great pride in her work and was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Anna attended Mastbaum High School, where she acquired the skills and knowledge that set the foundation for her successful career. In addition to her professional achievements, Anna had a wide range of interests and hobbies. She was an avid sports fan, passionately supporting her beloved Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, Dolphins, and Hurricanes. Anna also enjoyed participating in bowling leagues, challenging herself with crossword puzzles, delving into horror novels, and indulging in a good scare with horror movies. She had a deep appreciation for science fiction, fantasy, and detective shows. Anna was a talented artist, finding solace and joy in various arts and crafts. Anna's compassion extended to animals as well, as she lovingly rescued and cared for many dogs and cats throughout her lifetime. Her kind heart and unwavering love for animals touched the lives of all those she encountered. Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 26 years, Robert T. Merrigan, and her brother, John R. Steuer. She will be dearly missed by her children, Lynda Vogelei (The late Bruce), Catherine Merrigan, Robert Merrigan, and Terina Stevens (Enoch). She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her 8 cherished grandchildren: Kira (Bo), Sean (Collette), Brittany (Matthew), Bruce (Brittney), Ronald (Amanda), Thomas (Jenna), Chad (Lindsay), and Angela; Her 13 great-grandchildren: Sophia, Vincent, Thomas, Rosalyn, Louis, Annalise, Charlotte, Grace, Julie Ann, Bruce, Phillip, Cooper, and Oliver. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation, Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 9 to 11 AM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, P. She was a graduate of Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School, Class of 1969, and her education prepared her for a life centered around love, kindness, and devotion. Joyce had a vibrant personality and a warm heart that welcomed everyone into her life. Joyce was a dedicated homemaker who found joy in caring for her family. In her spare time, Joyce enjoyed a variety of hobbies. She delighted in shopping for unique treasures, tending to her beautiful garden, and adding her personal touch to the decor of her home. Joyce was the family's go-to person for planning and coordinating memorable vacations and family trips. Her favorite destination was Cape May, New Jersey, where she could relax and enjoy the ocean breeze, the Poconos, where she loved the peace and quiet, and spending time in Florida every year with her family and friends. Joyce had a deep passion for sports and was an avid fan of the Washington Commanders. She enthusiastically cheered for her favorite team and even occasionally supported the Philadelphia Eagles when they were not playing against the Commanders. Family meant everything to Joyce, and she cherished the time spent with her loved ones. She will be greatly missed by her devoted husband of 52 years Joseph E. Smith. Joyce is also survived by her loving children, Eric Smith (Brooke) and Amber Drum (Jason); Her sister Barbara Oldt (Frank), and her brothers Ronald Mayne (Stephanie) and Edward Mayne. Joyce's memory will also live on through her adoring grandchildren, Anthony, Mia, and Cameron, who were the light of her life and will be deeply missed by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bessie Quattrone, 85, of Bensalem, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17th,2023. Bessie was born on April 9, 1938, a daughter of the late Roxanne (nee Schoff) and William Stanley. Beloved wife of S. John Quattrone, caring mother to Bonny Rose Starzl, Rebecca Roxanne Drayer, and Anthony John Quattrone, Grandmother to Danielle Potteiger, Derek Petrangeli, Jurgen Starzl, Mark Starzl, Chelsea Quattrone, Ariel Ebaugh, Tess Pernin, Tillie Quattrone, Great Grandmother to Mason and Avery Potteiger, Keegan and Harlie Petrangeli and Hudson Ebaugh. Bessie was the only girl of 6 children, survived by her brothers Victor and Marlowe Stanley. She held her own among them and her other brothers, Charles Stanley, William, Johnny Stanley. She and her brothers were country raised in Clearfield County, PA and were country tough. After raising her 3 children she finished her nursing degree and cared for the elderly patients/residents at Pennswood Village and beyond. She was a caring, loving, faithful wife. We are eternally grateful for her love, guidance, and the care she selflessly gave to me, my sister Bonny, and little brother Anthony Pitz Quattrone. Always in our hearts and memories. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert J. Tryon, who passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023. He was 67 years old. Born in Bristol, PA to the late Mary (Whalen) and Richard Tryon and a resident of Croydon for the past 40 years and was formerly of Bensalem. Robert was a graduate of Bensalem High School, Class of 1975. He had a fulfilling career as a maintenance supervisor at Load Rite Trailers, where he dedicated over two decades of service. Outside of his professional life, Robert was well-known for his outgoing personality. He could easily strike up a conversation with strangers. He was always willing to lend a hand and had a knack for solving problems. His compassionate nature and his willingness to listen were invaluable to the people who knew and loved him. Family meant everything to Robert. He adored his beloved wife of 47 years, Kathy (Hagan)Tryon, with whom he shared a lifetime of laughter, love, and adventures. Together, they explored life and enjoyed their family. But it was in the warmth of their home that Robert found his greatest joy, surrounded by his loving daughters, Chrissy Sigmon (Jamie) and Kelly Tryon, whose lives he touched in immeasurable ways. Robert was also a loving pop-pop to Madison, Mya, and Marissa, who brought him immeasurable happiness and filled his heart with endless love and laughter. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jon F. Pearson, a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and friend. Jon peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was 71 years old. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Dorothy R. (Friedrichs) and Edward B. Pearson, Sr, and was a resident of Mays Landing, NJ for the past 6 years and was formerly of Bowers, PA, Perkasie, PA and Bensalem, PA. Jon was the epitome of a caring and compassionate individual throughout his life. He dedicated 45 years of his career to the glass manufacturing industry, where he excelled and achieved the position of National Sales Manager at LTI Smart Glass. But Jon's true passion lay in his family. He was a devoted husband of 39 years to his wife, Andrea (DeMeester) Pearson. Together, Jon and Andrea built a beautiful family, raising their children with utmost care and affection. As a father, Jon was a constant pillar of support and guidance. He raised his daughter, Kimberly Pizzo (John, Sr. ), and three sons, Kevin J. (Nicole), David M. (Priscila), and Christian E. Pearson (Olya), with love and laughter. He shared his passions with them, whether it was playing the guitar, enjoying the outdoors, keeping physically fit, or rooting for their beloved Philadelphia sports teams. Jon will also be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Johnny Jr. , Joshua, Kalynna, and two more grandchildren on the way, who were the lights of his life. Jon was also preceded in death by his brother, Edward B. Pearson, Jr. Outside of his family and career, Jon enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. Born in Bristol, PA to the late Henry and Katherine (Scott) Roberts and was a lifelong resident of Newportville. As an entrepreneur, Gary dedicated over 25 years of his life to the waste disposal industry, becoming the proud owner and operator of Daley-Roberts Refuse Removal, Inc. and T&L Container Services. He also owned and operated Waste Alternatives, Inc. His commitment to providing efficient waste management solutions touched the lives of countless individuals in the community and throughout the State. Gary's entrepreneurial spirit was only matched by his involvement and devotion to various organizations. He was a member of the Bracken Cadets, Pennsylvania Independent Waste Haulers Association (PIWHA), Solid Waste Advisory Board, Cruisin' Classics Car Club, Hummer Club, Community Emergency Response Team (C. E. R. T), Civilian Fire Academy, and the Newportville-Fergusonville Town Watch. His dedication to serving his community and making a positive impact will forever be remembered. Beyond his professional and community achievements, Gary's true joy in life came from his family. He leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Caroline (Myers) Roberts, who stood by his side throughout their beautiful journey together. Gary is also survived by his children, Gary Roberts (ToQuyen), Tracy Roberts, and Ryan Roberts (Tamika), and his sister, Carol Duffy.
