Ann Willard Obituary

Ann E. Willard, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away on Monday, May 8th, 2023. Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen A. Willard; sister, Joy Chamness; parents, George and Leah Elam. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Denison, Rita Bush, and Sindy Burroughs; sister, Patricia Priest; brother, Dennis Elam; grandchildren, Heather (Trent) Sexton, Lynsey (Michael) Skelton, Robert (Tracey) Bush, Darlene (Bryan) Albin, Deborah Adams, Stephen (Haley) Denison, Karl (Shelley) Burroughs, and Kimberly Burroughs. Ann Willard held many titles in her 91 years. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, Gigi, teacher, and friend. Born and raised in Texas, she lived many places with her husband before settling down in Alabama to continue raising their family. She was an active member of the community, and could often be found volunteering at DCH, teaching English as a second language, or meeting with her fellow Red Hat ladies. When not helping others, she would spend her time pursuing her hobbies, such as reading, crocheting, or trying something new. She leaves behind 3 daughters, 8 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren who will always remember her for how head-strong, helpful, and loving she was to those around her. A visitation for Ann will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405.
