Ann Collins Obituary

Ann (Quintal) Collins, 78, of New Bedford passed away at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by her family after battling breast cancer for 35 years. Born in Acushnet, a daughter of the late John and Alice (Monteiro) Quintal, she was a lifelong area resident. Ms. Collins worked as a clerk for the New Bedford School Department. Ann enjoyed traveling and she was an avid jewelry lover. She is survived by two daughters, Kelly DeGouveia and her husband Nelson and Jane Collins; a son, Jeff Collins all of New Bedford; four grandchildren, Jacob Nogueira and his wife Caitlin, Hailey Moura, Lana Collins, and Kelsey DeGouveia; and two great grandchildren, Isabella and Madison.
