ADRIAN - Anita Regalado, loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, September 11, 2023 in her home. She was born March 1, 1933, in San Marcos, TX, the daughter of the late Ventura and Anita (Garza) Costilla. She is survived by three of her siblings, Fernando, Elena, and Guadalupe. Her parents as well as brothers and sister, Luis, Arturo, Emilio, Jose, and Ofelia preceded her in death. She married the love of her life, Alfredo Regalado Sr. , January 19, 1957, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Tiffin, Ohio. They have three loving children, Alfredo Jr. (Becky), David and Christina Castorena; and six grandchildren, Valerie, Veronica, Michael, Alicia, Alma and Xavier; six great-grandchildren, Dominic, Thomas, Ariana, Kianna, Kiarra, and Nayeli; and two grand-dogs, Maximus and Shasha. She loved dancing with her favorite partner, her loving husband Fred of 66 years. The loving couple enjoyed traveling to visit friends and family around the country and spent their summer months at the Green Valley Campground in Morenci, Michigan. She loved to cook and bake for her loved ones. Anita is a past Board member at the Adrian Senior Center and enjoyed visiting the Center and spending time with her friends. She has resided in Adrian since 1957 and was a lifelong member of Holy Family Parish, St. Mary's Campus in Adrian. Anita will always be remembered for her kind spirit, loving heart, and generous soul. The Funeral Mass for Anita will be celebrated by Father Michael Newman, OSFS, on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 10:30 a. m. at Holy Family Parish, St. Mary's Campus in Adrian. Rite of Committal will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, beginning at 3:00 p. m. and concluding with a rosary service at 6:30 p. m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Hal Lee Kaser, age 76 of Sand Creek, Michigan passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Hospice of Lenawee inAdrian, Michigan after an extended illness. Hal was born December 11, 1946, to Howard Orley and Florence L. (Gentz) Kaser. Hal was the oldest of 8 children. He had 3brothers, Gary, Brad and Keith and 4 sisters Brenda Witt, Colleen Kaser, Kim (Robert) Beverly and Candy (Mike) Weeber. Hal hadmany loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents as well as brothers Gary and Brad. On June 17, 1977. Hal married the love of his life, Mary Lou Rohrer-Benschoter. They had 46 years together enjoying family,gardening, cooking, fishing from their boat, the "Beerwolf", University of Michigan football and working with his wife running Louand Hal's Weston Bar. Hal served in the Army in Vietnam and worked for Stauffer Chemical and then the State of Michigan Prison system at Gus HarrisonPrison in Adrian. Hal had 2 children, Christopher (Dawn) Kaser of South Carolina and Sherrie Kaser of Florida, 2 stepchildren,Ronald (Glenn) Benschoter of Waterford, VA and Cheryl (Bill) White of Hudson, MI, 8 grandchildren Sara Francis and John LukeKaser of South Carolina, Kenneth Kaser and Brandon (Whitney) Kaser of Phenix City, Alabama, Haley (Nate) Lambright, William(Nicole) White, Alley (Tanner) Livingston, Lydia Jessee. He also had 5 great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Jade and Sebastian Kaser andNoah White and Mia Livingston. Cremation has taken place. ADRIAN-Eleanore M. Becker, age 88, of Adrian, died Saturday morning, December 2, 2023, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. She was born on May 22, 1935, in Wayne, MI to George and Emma (Doletzky) Petrowsky. She lived her early years in that area and graduated from Detroit Lutheran High School in 1953. In 1956 she received a teaching certificate from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. Her first teaching position was at St. Paul's Lutheran School in Appleton, WI. She came to Adrian in 1958 as the Primary Grades teacher at St. Stephen Lutheran School. On June 18, 1961, she married Max Becker and together they raised five children, two of them being her birth children. In 1968 she returned to teaching as the kindergarten teacher at St. Stephen, a position she enjoyed for 14 years. During this time, she earned a B. A. at Adrian College and M. A. at Siena Heights College. In retirement she became the school Librarian. In addition to being a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church and teaching at St. Stephen School, Eleanore enjoyed singing in the church choir, teaching Sunday School, and being involved in church Ladies Society and the Altar Care Committee. Eleanore is survived by two sons and their wives, James (Rachel) Becker, of Adrian, and David (Kristen) Becker of DeKalb, IL; three daughters and their husbands, Mary (John) Drahuschak of Adrian, Rebecca (Dan) Borck of Clayton, MI and Sharon Boman of Midland, MI; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren with whom she spent many happy hours; a brother, Harold Petrowsky of Wayne, MI; four sisters, Lois Gartner of Livonia, MI, Elaine Henning of New Ulm, MN, Rita Alexander of St. Clair Shores, MI, and Karen Guyor, of Westland, MI; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, Max, she was preceded in death by her parents, and a precious young grandchild, Jaret Borck. Funeral services will be held on December 6, 2023, at 11am at St. Stephen Lutheran Church with Pastor Brian Keller, officiating. Burial will be in the Lenawee County Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh. ADRIAN--Dorolene Lou Dilworth, age 91, of Adrian, died Friday morning, December 1, 2023, at the Hospice of Lenawee Home. She was born November 19, 1932, in Waldron, the middle daughter born to the late Arthur and Mildred (Curtis) Martin. Dorolene was raised in Hudson, where she graduated from high school in 1950. She served as a secretary for over 20 years for the former Lassey and Morris Oil Company in Adrian, working until its closure. Dorolene married Thomas Allen in April of 1949, and together they raised four children. She later married Robert Dilworth in September of 1979, and he preceded her in death on November 23, 2013. North Rome Baptist Church was Dorolene's longtime church home. She was an avid bowler in her younger years and became a good cook in providing meals for her family. She and her husband Robert enjoyed vacationing at their lake house situated on a chain of lakes near Farwell, MI. Dorolene will be remembered for her strong will, her unwavering loyalty, and her pleasant sense of humor. Surviving are two sons, Thomas (Amy) Allen of Adrian and Denny (Sue) Allen of Manitou Beach; a sister, Barbara Gerhart of Adrian; three grandchildren, Lance, Jenna, and Jay; and a great-grandson, London. She is also surved by step-daughter, Diane "Ed" Dranginis; step-son, David "Brenda" Dilworth; and step-granddaughters Jessie and Heather. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Allen; son, Michael Allen; a sister LaJean Fredrick; and a step-daughter, Debbie Jakeway. A funeral service for Dorolene will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, 2023, at 12:00 p. m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, with Pastor Fritz Kruse officiating. Eddie Padro Gonzalez, age 87, of Adrian, died on Wednesday, November 29, 2023,at Adrian Bay in Adrian, Michigan. He was born May 9, 1936, in Manati, Puerto Rico to Dolores and Paula (Gonzalez) Padro. On July 18, 1969, he married Nellie Pedro. She preceded him in death on November 22, 1996. He later married Isabel Caballero and she survives. Eddie had been employed by Tecumseh Products for 42 years. He was a member of St. Mary of Good Counsel Parish and the Knights of Columbus. Eddie was an avid golfer and loved listening to Spanish reggae music. In addition to his wife, Isabel, he is survived by a daughter, Cynthia (Dwayne) Fugate of Hazard, Kentucky; a son, Eddie Padro, Jr. of Adrian; three grandchildren, Nathanial Fugate, Zachary Fugate and Abigail MacLlum; two great-grandchildren, Nora and Mia Fugate; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his first wife, Nellie, he was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David Padro, and siblings, Carmen Padro, Elena Padro, Elizabeth Padro, T Altagracia Padro. "ADRIAN- Janice M. Stone, 90, of Adrian, Michigan died early Tuesday morning, November 28, 2023 at Gaslight Village Assisted Living under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. She will be remembered for her creativity, wry sense of humor, appreciation of hard work, and love for friends and family. Janice was born on June 7, 1933 in Aaronsburg, PA, one of five children to Walter and Lida (Warntz) Breon. She grew up in a hard-working farm family. She married Lewis Stone in 1953. They were married nearly 61 years. In the fall of 1964, the Stones moved from Crestwood, Missouri to an extremely rustic farmhouse in Adrian. Over the ensuing years, Janice transformed the historic house into a beautiful home, which she maintained until after her 90th birthday. Jan was a dedicated homemaker. She was an exceptional cook, preparing daily meals, sometimes seemingly from thin air, for her husband and five children. Jan was a talented seamstress and made her children's clothes and hats. When the children were older, Jan also supported her family by working as a medical biller at several local physicians' offices. In her spare time, Jan was an avid reader, loved to travel, enjoyed creating stained glass and tending her magnificent gardens. Jan was a member of the First United Methodist Church for many years. In her sixties, Jan took up quilting and made over 100 quilts to be donated while participating in the quilting group at the church. She also developed an increasingly artistic quilting style and made many quilts for family members. She is survived by her children, Karen Stone (Warren Klofkorn), Linda (Rick) Ridley, Mikie Rion, Judy (Randall Downer) Stone and daughter-in-law Sherry Stone; four grandchildren, James Downer, Phoebe Downer, Jacob (Audra) Stone and Julian Stone; several nieces and nephews; seven step grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and brother, Wayne (Nan) Breon. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lewis; son, Eric Stone; son-in-law, Nick Rion; and siblings, James Breon, Alice Fox and John Breon. Following Janice's wishes, a private graveside service was held at Adrian Center Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 11:00 a. m. at the Adrian First United Methodist Church with Rev. Alice Ford and Rev. Linda Farley officiating. ADRIAN--Emma J. Castillo, age 78, of Adrian died Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the Hospice of Lenawee home. She was born October 13, 1945, in Adrian, to Alfredo and Pauline (Johnson) Flores. On November 3, 1962 in Scottsbluff, NE, Emma and Ernesto Castillo were united in marriage. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2007. Catholic by faith, Emma was a longtime parishioner of Holy Family Parish, St. Mary's Campus. She was very artistic and employed her design skills in dressmaking, arranging flowers and creating various art and crafts. She is survived by three sons; David (Pam) Castillo of Adrian, Fred Castillo of Louisville, KY, and Santos Castillo of Adrian; one daughter, Gloria Castillo of Denver, CO; three brothers; Oscar (Della) Flores, Paul Flores and Juan Flores all of TX; three sisters, Amelia Kaiser of Adrian, and Delores Guerrero and Mary Honesto both of TX; sister-in-law, Janie Flores of TX; four grandchildren; Carissa, Sarah (Brian), Danielle, and Elsa; and two great-grandchildren, Weston and Summer. In addition to her husband, Ernesto, she was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Pete (Annie) and Bill Flores. The Funeral Mass for Emma will be celebrated by Father Michael Newman, OSFS, on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 10:30 a. m. at Holy Family Parish, St. Mary's Campus.
