Anita Parris Obituary

Graveside service for Mrs. Anita Stancil Parris, 75, of Jacksonville will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 25, 2022 with Rev. Gary Waits and Molly Grace Quinn officiating. Mrs. Parris passed away Sunday morning at UAB Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Monroe Stancil; mother, Cordie Reedy; father, Doc Crook; sister, Linda Frady; and brother, Joe Cook. Mrs. Parris lived a long and faithful life of service as a Pastor's wife for 37 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to travel, especially cruising. She took pride in her yard and received the yard Beautification Award twice. She was a great cook and enjoyed baking, especially around the holidays. Her presence will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband, Darrell Parris; daughters, Pam Frederick and husband, Dan, and Debra Quinn; son, Jamie Stancil; grandchildren, Miranda Quinn, Molly Grace Quinn, Austin Skinner, Jade Freeman, Josh Taylor and wife, Kaitlin, Elizabeth Crowe and husband, Caleb, and Megan Reinhart and husband, Chase.
