Anita Noce, 80, of Smyrna, DE passed away on Saturday June 18, 2022 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Wollingst, Germany on September 27 1941, the daughter of the late Jan and Anna Wildeboer. Anita was raised on a farm in Germany and immigrated to the USA at age 16. She had been employed as a seamstress, then was a homemaker once married. She formerly resided in Woodhaven, NY and Highland Mills, NY before moving to Smyrna DE. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, cooking, polka dancing, and attending the Octoberfest every year. She was an animal lover and supported local and world-wide animal rescues. Anita had a wonderful sense of humor, spoke her mind and was loved by many - she was everyone's grandma. Everyone she met loved her and called her grandma. She is survived by her children Matthew Noce, of Smyrna; Anna Rossiter (Bill) of Smyrna; John Noce Jr. (Julie) of Brewster, NY; grandchildren, Gerard J. Eckel Jr. (Stacey), Amanda C. Eckel, Lauren Wells (Alex), Rebecca Noce, Johnny Noce (Ginny), Andrew Noce, and adopted grandmother to Shannon and Liam Rossiter; great-grandchildren and loving Oma to Alexander Eckel, Avery Noce, and Michael Wells; a sister, Monika Kross, of Germany; many nieces and nephews in Germany and USA; many friends and neighbors; and the family pet Danny. She was predeceased by a sister, Henny Kindt, and brother, Hans Wildeboer. A visitation will be held from 2-5 PM Thursday June 23 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St. , Smyrna. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 AM Friday June 24 at St. Polycarp Church, 55 Ransom Lane, Smyrna. Interment will be private.
