Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). We will go in procession from the funeral home to Resurrection Cemetery where Angelo will be laid to rest. "

Treasured Nephew of Michael Gearon and the late Judith Gearon, Suzan (Robert) Styczenski and Richard Gearon; Cathie (Paul) Abrahamson, Janet (Ken) Kessler. Charlotte (Kevin) O'Connell, Mary (and the late John) Schmidt, Dorothy (Joseph) McCloskey, Joanne (Bill) Gaines, John (Beth) Maher, Patty (Dan) Ray, Charles (Cathy) Maher, Peter (Sue) Maher, Martin Maher and Rose Maher, and Laurie (Mike) Flores. Much loved Cousin of Jennifer (Terry) Hadfield; Michael (Susan) O'Connell, Timothy (Meghan) O'Connell; Pam Schmidt, Brittany (Chad) Sarver; David (Jackie) Pleasant, Jennifer (Corey) Brelsfoard; Matthew (Lisa) McCloskey, Daniel (Kriston) McCloskey and Robert McCloskey; Amy (Mike) Powers, Dan (Linda) Presler, Nell (Chuck) Baez and Megan Presler; Angela Ray (Cyrus Alavi) Adam Ray; Rebecca (Benjamin) Jacobson, Amy Maher; Nicholas (Ashley) Maher, Steven, Travis and Tyler (Kelly) Maher. Caring Uncle of: Paul, Angelina and Jason Stachura; Emily, Terry and Meghan Hadfield; and all the spectacular family of our next generation. Patrick held a passion for life, with a gift for communicating and keeping people together. He deftly handled life's challenges with humor and dignity. An avid genealogist, who maintained his family tree of over 900 members of his extended families around the world, so our apologies for those who are not listed here. A lifelong student of history, he was especially devoted to Irish History and the centuries of history told in Irish music. He supported many Irish Organizations, Musicians and establishments, in their efforts for justice and to keep Irish Heritage and Culture alive. Tiocfaidh ar la. Continuing the family legacy of service and supporting veterans and their organizations, he was a proud member of the Son's of the American Legion Marrs-Meyer Post #991 in Worth IL and cherished the years he rode with his Father in parades with the 40\u0026amp;8 Voiture 220 Cook County IL locomotive trains. He volunteered at Viet Nam memorials and events. A perpetually optimistic fan of all Chicago Sport Teams, he also treasured a good game of chess, whether online or in person. Playing in scholastic, and individual chess tournaments and clubs throughout the area. He also enjoyed faceting gemstones. A visitation celebrating Patrick's life will be on Friday, Nov. 17,. 2023 from 4PM to 8 PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W Archer Ave. Summit IL. Visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until time of Service at 11 AM. We will go in procession from the funeral home to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery where Patrick will be laid to rest. "Catherine C. Malec RN. Passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, November 9, 2023. She was the beloved wife for 55 years to the late Deacon Albert C. Malec Sr. Loving mother of Philip (Mary), Albert Jr. (late Jeanette), Thomas (Mary) Malec and Mary Malec (Chuck Lones). Much loved Grandmother of Laura, Colleen (Dave), Bill, Kevin, Elizabeth, Sarah, Carl and Anthony. Dear Great grandmother of Emma, Grayson, Henry, Brynlee and Aidan. Devoted member of St. Daniel the Prophet Parish, Catherine unconditionally gave of her time as a deacon's wife and loyal member of the church. She was a member of St. Daniel's Women's Club, St. Daniel St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Bereavement Ministry, St. Daniel's Parish Nursing Group, and worked as the school nurse from 1972 to 1981. She also was an Auxiliary member of American Legion Marvin Seamann Post. A 1950 graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing, Catherine began her career as a staff nurse at Hines V. A. Hospital where she met her husband and later worked at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Catherine was a lifelong Cubs fan! Visitation is Wednesday, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). Family and friends will meet on Thursday at St. Daniel the Prophet Church at 9:30 AM until time of mass at 10:30AM. We will go in procession from the church to Resurrection Cemetery where Catherine will be laid to rest next to her husband.
